By and large, The Last Jedi DID follow up on the threads introduced in The Force Awakens.

Finally read mellowstupid’s 7-months after release review of The Last Jedi and it was the same take as I’d read three zillion times already on the internet.

It’s a travesty he’ll be recast in The Batman Forever.

This comment is like flames on Optimus Prime.

Batman Begins was a perfectly fine adaptation of Year One. You know what I would love Reeves’ to adapt? “Zero Year.”

What would it take for J. Jonah Jameson to sincerely believe something is “the biggest story of all time”?

but, what about King Ghidorah?

Looks like Keanu is, as we say in Latin, a “dorkus malorkus.”

I loved Hereditary. My only complaint is that I thought it explained too much.

I know, right bro? If it’s not anime, why even watch?!

Hey, you can shit on some nerds for their toxic behavior and ironic conservatism (considering genre fiction’s enormously progressive worldview of “anything is possible”), but don’t shit on nerds just for liking things you don’t. Even if it’s just some convention panel, or maybe even especially if it’s just something

I’m just gonna leave this right here, Joss Whedon fans.

I say props to Nathan Fillion for making a badly written character seem rounded and giving him growth. Because he clearly only had one character note: “Mal Reynolds is principled.”
What are his principles? Whatever this episode needs them to be!

I actually love Alien 3. It can’t hold a candle to its predecessors, true, but Alien and Aliens are the high water mark for sci-fi horror and sci-fi action movies, period. Tough acts to follow.

“God has no place inside these walls, just like facts have no place within organised religion!”

I still got two of the McDonalds glasses they sold to promote this movie. Sometimes I drink booze out of them LIKE A BIG BOY.

I never saw the Stallone Judge Dredd, but I just looked it up and that robot indeed looks cool. It’s sad but also weirdly inspiring when excellent design goes into a shitty movie.

And miss out on Michael Pena’s Luis?

No thanks.

I know what really matters in these movies.

Poor Jenny Slate. Catching a ton of crap for a perfectly valid pronunciation.
