I'm pretty sure, based on editing/framing/etc, the sacrifice is implied to be Felicity, since both of them recognize Oliver will never choose her over his sister/Starling.

Catching this late at night and I have to say this is intriguing! I was a bit doubtful of casting (Amanda Schull has kinda underwhelmed in the past) and of course, remaking something that was already great, but even for the lack of characterization the visual effects / care given to plot/story (in terms of how dynamic…
APPA FROM AVATAR: TLA, that is all.
I realize she wasn't killed - but she was rescued by a man, shown to have all her supposedly clever manipulations orchestrated by a man, and worse, was a lesbian who suddenly fell in love with - and because of that love, was undermined by a man. BBC Irene was defined by her relationships to/for/around men, which is…
I have to say I'm so SO happy that this is how Kitty was written off (if she had to be): I was worried she was gonna be pigeonholed into a victim role (who needed to be saved by a man) or worse, killed, as many (too many) shows/films have done. (COUGH BBC SHERLOCK'S HANDLING OF IRENE.)
Kitty had her nutmeg concoction and threw it too.
I realize this has nothing to do with Elementary/Sherlock canon but that sentiment ("I will love you no matter what") reminded me of Gone Girl.
I don't have anything specific in mind, but I'd love to see more raceswapped remakes like Steel Magnolias and Death at a Funeral and Tortilla Soup but basically what I'm trying to say is more films starring non-white people.
Can we not talk about the perfect music scoring on this??
The Crossroads of Destiny is definitely thematically parallel to this finale - I didn't even think of that but I do think that makes TLA's Book 2 (which I think is its strongest) analogous to LOK's Book 3.
I love everyone being collected at the end, but if Zuko can pop on over why couldn't he pick up Katara (and Toph)?!?
Is it terrible that I thought Kya would be a better waterbender? So far she's got her ass handed to her by Zaheer and Ming Hua. Granted, hard to beat octopus arms.
I think since ep 9 is always painted as the bleak shitshow, D&D have always tried to end ep 10 (the season) on a bright note (Dany with her dragons, Dany crowdsurfing - and since Dany has no equivalent scenes to sub in, I guess they went with Arya).
I agree with your wife. WHERE IS STONEHEART?!?!?! Ever since the loss of my favorite character I've been waiting for her rereturn (of sorts).
Everything pointed to Oberyn's death, sadly. In a happier show, everyone doubting Oberyn's success would be simple tension-building - but in GOT if someone says "I really doubt [X] is gonna make it" that's all the foreshadowing you need.
I wouldn't entirely rule out that Slade did in fact tell Thea who Oliver really was. When she says lines like "I know your secret" and "You've been lying to me for years," both of those sentences can only apply to Oliver in regards to his Arrow life, as he just found out who Thea's father was.
Night's Watch bro: How can you tell when someone's lying?
Aemon: I grew up in King's Landing.
I see what you did there
And the award for best dialogue of the ep goes to… the Hound.
Bronn was a close second, of course, but he's always rocking it.
Am I the only one who couldn't help but think of My Little Pony?
