LOL!
LOL!
Yeah, saw that more recently than this thread. Doesn’t negate my point though. When studios decide where they are going to put their money, actual screentime is a prime determining factor in how much effort they put in.
Like I’ve previously said. I’m fine with being wrong. Just doesn’t mesh with what I know of studio…
Not really, no. I talk to a LOT of directors, showrunners and producers and listen to a lot of interviews and podcasts where they talk about exactly this stuff.
Please, read the whole thread. Already addressed this.
A) My premise was NOT that Disney wouldn’t want to spend money on a force dream sequence. They spent plenty on the sequence in Last Jedi. It was that the amount of money spent is (usually) proportional to the screentime.
Fair enough. Only rebuttal I can give is Disney could still make easy toy sales on the cheaper model and they’re no strangers to forced scarcity to drive up the price.
I had considered this myself, but I doubt it. I’d take your money in a heartbeat. Because (oddly enough): money.
Michael. Fucking. Bay.
Why did nobody actually pay attention to anything but the trailer. The devs have flat out said: No loot boxes, No pay to win bullshit, all future dlc including missions and characters will be free. It’s only “live service” in the sense that they plan to continue the story after the initial launch to keep the player…
So.... He’s writing a super high budget web series and restricting when people are allowed to watch it. After all the trouble people go to to make sure that they AREN’T restricted by arbitrary viewing hours.
Yeah... good luck with that. They’re basically BEGGING pirates to cut into their profits while pushing more…
Same on all points. Personally I think GRRM is overrated and while the books were a guide D&D were making vast improvements on his story. Now... I’m pretty much just watching to try to get a better understanding of where it all went wrong. (I mean aside from getting one of the writers of Wolverine Origins as your…
What bugs me the most about how dark last night’s ep was (whether you could see it or not) is that it highlights a HUGE story problem.
Not true... People need to learn that a 4k tv is pointless in the first place.
Am I the only one annoyed that it only seems to be Arya getting laid when “we watched her grow up” that people are uncomfortable with?
Even being generous with ages, when they first met the actors were 24 and 13 (accounting for the fact that the show filmed months before it aired), and MAYBE 4 years of time have passed…
Since I’m in the greys again and unlikely to be seen much, if anyone would want to fight against real spoilers by spreading fake ones for shiggles, I’ve come up with a few JUST believable enough for most “normal” people to buy. Some could even pull in actual comic/mcu fans if they don’t know any better. Fight fire…
Ugh... I'm one of the few who love that game, but it could have been so much better. With just one move.
Yep. This is basically the deal I’ve worked out with myself. 3 weeks for films, 3 days for weekly tv episodes.
On the surface you’d think this was still true, but modern theatres have to pay the majority of ticket sales to the studio. They make almost no money on tix (relatively) which is why the food is so overpriced. It’s also why more theatres are going “dinner theatre” like SMG. It’s much easier to overcharge for food and…
Counterpoint: Netflix’ metrics should matter to the average consumer and that they don’t is a problem. I splain.
Hasting’s is correct in that the ratings don’t matter to the consumer directly. The average person doesn’t care, nor should they have to. Even if Netflix did reveal the metrics they use to determine…
I vote for abjuration wards drawn on the ground in salt and blood.
