BMW’s (read: Mini’s) are fucking obscene to service. I own 3 BMW’s right now (e46 M3, E38 740iL, RNineT) and if I didn’t have a stocked garage and the ability to fix that shit myself I would Never own one. I know on some models you have to actually drop the entire front subframe to get the swaybar out. Maybe the Mini

Allegedly, the average salary is ~$60,300/year (census bureau). I’m not sure if that includes minimum wage jobs, or more specifically the ones that are occupied predominantly by kids working part time / summer jobs, a “young” mom working part time, etc.

You aren’t below the poverty line, no.  But you ain’t rich either.

In europe they have passat wagons. They’re right up there with an E-Class wagon in terms of space. If they sold a hot version of that here I’d buy one. a GTi sportwagen version would be cool too. I liked the GTi, and they now have the GLi so if they can do that, they can do a sportwagen GTi

Savage.

your MIGHT be giving a bit too much credibility to the “real” in Reality TV.

Lol I think you’ve missed the bigger point here.

I was actually looking at them. I guess I technically still am but have pretty much axed them for either an X5 or a Golf. They’re sooo close to what I want but they Juuust miss the mark. And I can’t explain to you why. Boring engine choices? Boring styling? Although its a manual wagon, it doesn’t tickle my enthusiast

hmm, never been inside a clubman but I thought it was larger inside than a FoST.   I have been in / driven FoST many times.

The difference between the fly and the grammar is that there are actual consequences/risks to the fly being down. There aren’t to the grammar if you understand the sentiment anyways.

To be fair, a family with 2 kids and a dog will easily spend over 12k/year on food alone. shit, I myself consume 300-400/month on food. multiply that by 4 people, and then by 12 months. that’s $14,400 - $19,200 BEFORE any clothes are involved. My eating habits are likely marginally higher than the average. but they

When they say household income, It typically refers to the double income of a working pair. If we split it evenly, ONE of those two people is earning 125k/year. If you earn half of what a person earns in that situation, you then earn 62.5k/year. Thats Not unreasonable.

I’m also Canadian. If you’re anything like me - that Alfa is garage-kept and subjected to some maintenance in the late fall / early spring just because you’re bored and its a way to “play with your toys”.

psh, I’ll never lose that right.

Has nobody ever heard of Germany’s healthcare? Its exactly this. Everyone gets a solid base-level socialized health care. but you have the option to pay more for special treatment or whatever. Makes everyone happy and seems to work well.

Canadian here.

Ok guys, help me out here.

I see your perspective. Allow me to bring my own.

I’d rather be any of those three, than be the guy who goes out of his way to correct a strangers grammar - despite understanding the message. I believe the term for you is a Pedant.

if it ain’t selling, it ain’t selling.
