Currently live in Philly and have been towed by these guys before. $220 for holding my car for a whopping 45 minutes. I’d say that’s overcharging by more than a bit.

DOUBLE BIRD!

I passed Doug on Spring Garden street later in the evening a while back and instantly thought “what kind of an idiot would try to drive that thing around the city, and where the hell did he get it anyway? ...they’re probably on Jalopnik way too much.” Found one of Doug’s “hey here’s my Hummer” posts the next day

Looks pretty sharp! Can’t wait to drive it!

...north of Philadelphia where they’re still holding out for print journalism to make a comeback.

Anyone who travels 76 in and out of Philadelphia every day would wholeheartedly agree with this.

Yeah...it's all in good fun to write off what he wrote and the blatant misuse of our legal system until you yourself are prosecuted unjustly. It's a very helpless and scary feeling knowing you're getting shafted and literally can do nothing to stop it unless you're extremely rich or well connected.

Well hey, Uber isn't making these people into predators—they're probably going to assault someone eventually anyway. At least Uber gives the police a very easy way to catch and convict them.

This same car did 10.6 @ 123 without the NOS. Source

With basically the same mods minus the NOS, they went 10.6 at 123MPH

Someone's getting sued by Saleen.

This has to be one of the most entertaining stories for you guys to cover in a while. It's almost too good to even believe

The sad fact is that they don't even need probable cause to search you and the cabin of your vehicle, they just need to justify it with "reasonable suspicion," examples being any quick or suspicious movement from inside the vehicle and other easily made-up bullshit. Probable cause would be needed to search the trunk,

Thank you for posting this.

Well, maybe if they had fought with this much passion they wouldn't have lost the Falklands War....

AmericanMuscle car show is a single-day event that's going on tomorrow in PA and last year there was ~1600 Mustangs. Should be over 2,000 this time around

I agree that the 2015 GT is a bit too "plain," but keep in mind, this was the 2005 Mustang GT—certainly "plain" and in need of some aftermarket love by even S197 purist standards.

"modern journalism is freer, more democratic, and more dangerous to the people in power than it's ever been."

And even if they do produce an even more powerful turbo 4 in the near future, it won't be called an "SVO." Ford is set on branding anything with a turbo as "EcoBoost," at least anythnig that's ever going in another Mustang. 12/10/13 7:34pm

Am I the only one that hears a muffled plat plane crank V8 here?
