I think you just answered your own question there. Its subjective because some people like things such as Mountains, Oceans, Culture, History, Food, Spouse, Music, etc, to varying degrees when compared with others. The value of each thing, and more importantly their particular combination is unique to each person. It…
Dude we never need the power. shit, a minivan doesn’t even need as much power as its got. Its just fun, and that’s why people are into it. OEM’s do a pretty good job of meeting your needs.
I don’t know enough about these rotors to have all the details, but many sources inform me they last significantly longer than steel ones. I’d say more than simply 2 days. On some accounts its more than 10x as long. The incremental difference is i’m referring to is more like 10k for one carbon rotor vs 1k for a steel…
Hey, even if you’re the 1000th person to climb Everest, I would still be impressed by it when you told me. We don’t reserve acknowledgement for only the First person to ever do something. Some things are objective accomplishments. and 1500hp is less of a challenge than, say, 2000 but its more of a challenge than 1400,…
But he’s the chief Engineer for the Malibu so perhaps his interests are different. He wants a comfortable opulent office on wheels. He can't be driving fast while texting 10 underlings at once!
so every single car guy only wants the fastest possible car. If you don't want a Veyron/Koeniggsegg (sp?) you're not a car guy? gtfo here.
There used to be this business in my town, and I’m sad that its gone now. they don’t seem to do very well, and understandable so. BUT if you’re lucky enough, you may have a DIY garage around. The one near me used to charge 10/hr for a bay and has a bunch of specialty tools you could use while you were there. it had a…
This implies that the area you’re moving from literally has nothing else to offer and the only thing that matters to you is cars. a house being small as an attribute alone isn’t enough to make it “crummy” most of us live in abundance and as humans can easily adapt to smaller spaces.
It isn’t relevant at all. it operates under the same principle as every other SI engine. sure you CAN hit high hp number with forced induction, sure. I’ll concede tech has come a long way. But if you’re getting +XXXhp gain with boost, you’re still missing out on +XXhp that the cam can unlock for the engine under the…
1500 hp is bragging rights, but its also a challenge. for many people simply building an engine is a puzzle and 1500hp is more challenging than 500hp. Why do people strive to build more powerful HAM radios? Nobody really needs one when there's a phone. its the nature of the beast. CAN I hit 1500hp? Sure its…
Even then, it stands to reason that they'll vastly outlast steel rotors. I guess the question is how many times longer can they last? And then, even if it isn't, say, 20x longer for 20x the price but rather 15x longer for 20x the price, is the increased performance and reduced maintenance worth the incremental price…
Justify.
I’m pretty sure one of the main reasons its so ubiquitous is because its cheap. 1500hp isn’t an easy number to hit without spending some cash. Try squeezing that power out of anything else and its easily twice the price. So basically you’re complaining that people should make more money because currently you’re bored.
Do you need a camp swap. Yes, the fact that its a Coyote is irrelevant. Sure it can make more power with the same cam, but that isn’t optimized, and you’re holding yourself back from realizing the benefits of all other upgrades without changing the cams.
I was going to post something here, but then I began reading the comments and sat back in my chair thinking to myself “oh man we’re so fucked”.
Wait, so which part of this is the part that makes you kind of sick? people needing 1500 hp, or using a turbo LS to get there? or is it exclusively when both are present?
+ CHEAAAAPPPPP PARRTSSS!!!!! <- this ones HUGE! it costs a lot more to swap in twice as many valves, springs, and 4x the cams.
Hard to justify when a cam swap costs upwards of 1k on a coyote, and only a hundred or two on an LS. the coyote is definitely more advanced, and a better option to drop in stock for stock. But if you want big power it'll be way cheaper to get out of an LS.
Depends on a lot subjective things, including but not limited to:
