Probably the Driving.

PS. this is why I don't mind when people have bags and raise the car up once they're moving. its like having a high hp car, you choose to be an idiot or not. if your wheels are fixed in "stance" mode, you don't really have a choice.

But you realize that stance compromises your suspension and tyre dynamics which makes you a hazard on the road the same way driving recklessly or speeding does? I wouldn’t mind if people want to buy new tires every 5k, but once the vehicles stability, stopping, and reactionary behavior are compromised I don't want to

Lets consider a hypothetical. 70k Corvette, 200k Ferrari.

Like I said, they're smart and on paper their awesome. But there's something about constant-rpm acceleration I don't like. someone else here mentioned a boat, and its very much like that. I want to feel connected to my engine. But i'm also "weird" in my mechanical needs when we're talking about cars.

Nice! I’ve been lusting over a Daytona. Everyone talks greatly of it. It is true, the element of raw-ness and intimacy that comes with riding a bike is something a car can't deliver. But, I appreciate them for their own merits.

Depends if its built or bought. I can’t imagine ever dropping over 150k on a car - but, money changes people. If I end up making 1M/year one day, 150k is chump change. Nevertheless, I’ll always be willing to spend more on a car I build than a car I buy. I’ll dump 40k into rebuilding a classic before I run out after a

Curious, I feel like there’s a sweet spot somewhere too. Maybe around 80k? where you can get into a corvette or a GTR or a newish 911? Sure technically you’re subject to the law of diminishing returns as you spend more. The technology required for those cars is expensive, and even more so considering production

I recently switched from an old Maxima to an old Pathfinder as a winter car. I really like the maxima, it went through hell and back - then kept going. I like Nissan’s “soul” - they made the s-Chassis, the fairlady’s, the “4DSC”. They were the only Asian OEM making interesting cars!

Ad I read that article on LifeHacker, I was wondering how long it would take to get over here, considering how big brand loyalty is in the car community. BMW guys, chevy guys, Scooby guys, you’re always some kind of “guy”. it can even be taken to another level to say “I only drive ‘Murican!”

About that tiered system.

I think this will be the only trike to lean. like some of those three wheeled scooters, the front wheels lean in and out depending on your turning. Judging by those motorcycle tyres fitted to it, it looks like its intended to lean. that’s probably what the whole front linkage is about. but that will set this apart

When it failed the second time, it cost significantly more. Why? Is there a separate motor for tilt/telescope? and they cost wildly different amounts?

I have my friends ask about EcoBoost all the time thinking its something hybrid-like. But, ford is hardly the first player. What about FSI / TFSI? Audi wasn’t the only one doing it but they did brand it. or TDI (hint, the D isn’t for diesel).

I want one too :(

this has been discuss numerous time with many theories. But, in north America in particular, fear reigns dominant. In a country run by fear, its no wonder people shy away motorcycles - especially considering everyone drives F-150’s, Escalades, Denali’s, Hummers, and everything that’s big. It also doesn’t help that

Never sat in the ST’s Recaro’s, but the the S550 Mustang’s recaros are spot on. For me, it seems the ST2 package offers up a lot of value. I don’t care for cornering lamps but the seats, HID's, and sound sell it.

Pretty much hits the nail on the head. As an auto engineer its frustrating to see technical decisions made by people who don’t understand the decisions they’re making. I often wonder when America shifted its focus from taking pride in what they did to becoming sell-outs. perhaps a generational transition of entitled

wut? Please elaborate why it isn’t a great engine design. engine layouts are apples and oranges each with their own benefits and drawbacks. what about the V8 layout makes it a “not-great” engine?

So, this is a bit ridiculous. well, not a bit just plain. I can understand/sympathize with the desire to have something special like that. there’s a lot of psychology behind it. I don’t really wish for the entire neighborhood to know my lady’s intimate bits. And feeling special is a big part of a relationship, try and
