Somewhat related, but I suspect that RDJ only gets away with his huge Marvel profit cuts because he’s a white man. If he were anything but, you betcha that Iron Man would only be in like 2 Marvel movies tops before being neatly written off.

Very true. If a school were to ban frats and sororities, it would be SO open to lawsuits. BUT for a large part of college histories, sororities weren’t allowed to exist on campus because of anti-prostitution laws (and don’t you know that any single ladies living together are sex workers??)...so a part of me hopes for…
Agree with all you said. My standards are preeetttyy low for frat apologies, and their apology just barely passed my bar. (Still not a good apology though.)
While I’m not a big fan of the frat/sorority system, I think that sororities at worst have been annoying and discriminatory, whereas frats actually are guilty of violent acts like rape, racial harassment (like chanting racist songs at black people), or fatal hazing (like when they force their initiates to drink til…
1. While the apology was much better than I expected, it still had moments of “sorry you were offended”.
Honestly, I always end up hating it whenever EVERY character idolizes your character. At best, it’s boring. At worst, it’s creepy.
Haha, and poor ol’ Jun. “I’ll get over it eventually. I just need a little more time.”
Pahk the cah in da yahd? Howsabout I hammah you in da hart with a haymaker??
I just couldn’t really hate Marcy. Mostly because Jun (her husband) seems to rely on her and she’s the only family he has left. So I’m not gonna kill her and break Jun more, just because she said something rude to me a few times.
The Forgotten City mod was so good. It’s rare for a story like that to stick with me, but it did. Also, in order to solve the puzzles, you have to think creatively about the Skyrim gameplay itself—something Skyrim proper never forces you to do.
Come to think of it, the only pro gamers I follow are all pretty chill people who laugh off any “threats” to their gamerness—actually I’m fairly certain that they would be described as “SJW” by these people.
I used to call myself a “gamer”. Now because of gamergate, I don’t. My rejection of the label is not just because of those individuals who choose to harass/dox/be assholes...it’s because “gamers” as a whole refuse to address the problem of toxicity. The first and only response to a story about assholes in gaming…
Ummmm but being called a sexist is like a DEATH sentence whereas being called a whore is no biggie. GOD you feminazi don’t you understand we’re calling women whores because of their politics and not because of their gender??? /s
Haha, except this is at an event for a PRESIDENTIAL candidate, not a Congress-related thing...and he never mentioned Congress once in that quote.
I’ve been nice up until now, but I won’t allow you to besmirch my character whereas you have none. You try to tear others down to build yourself up because you are of weak constitution and don’t know what you’re talking about and cannot allow yourself to admit that. THAT is a weak mind talking. You are fucking…
Is Scandal that show where that blonde politician lady is all like, “YUM YUM LITTLE PIGGY” as she breaks down in response to her murdering someone?? Because, if so, that is the ONLY clip I’ve seen of Scandal, and I love it.
Daredevil is one of those things I objectively know is good but yet never got into :P. BUT maybe the only Daredevil comics I read were just not the right ones! I’m definitely gonna add your suggestion to the list! :)
Oooh another to add to the list!
Hahah it’s ironic that my current favorite comic series out there is the Team Fortress comics. That game had 0 women originally but the canon expanded so much and now those female characters are some of the best and funniest characters ever. AND they’re drawn non-offensively with body diversity!
