I actually posted about this on io9 but the audience there is a little less receptive ever since the giz merger:

Oh WHAT! I did not know about this! I may just visit Atlanta again just for fun! :)

it was a pre-made salad that i tried out of curiosity and it tasted like sadness and i can’t talk anymore about it because i remembered and am now sad :(

I know that it’s a pretty touristy thing to do and a hallmark of capitalism but...the World of Coca-Cola (right next to the Aquarium!) is pretty fun. Mostly just go for the unlimited taste testing in the international soda flavors room. The kid inside me has never gotten over that.

Agreed. I too am a ~~*peach snob*~~~ ;)

LOL I honestly don’t know if I could answer this question accurately—haven’t been back in a while. It really depends on what you’re doing/where you’re hanging out in Atlanta, I would say. There are definitely friendly weirdos but I can’t say what the ratio is. Maybe Jigglyball would have a better answer to this.

Goddddd Georgia peaches are the best thing. I blame Georgia for giving me a love for all things peach-flavored or scented. I judge grocery stores on whether or not they have peach soda.

I used to live in Atlanta too! One of the top 5 (or at least top 10) cities in the U.S. if you ask me. It’s got a surprising amount of diversity and there’s always something to do or see. Athens and Savannah have their own charms, too.

I have to agree that Georgia is on the whole terrible but this anti-LGBT bill surprised me because it’s usually our neighbors that are so newsworthy crazy. I hope you’re right that Nathan Deal will be reasonable enough to veto.

Memes making fun of memes making fun of memes making fun of memes are my uncatered-to fetish!

Memes making fun of sexist/racist/other shitty memes are the best.

As also a woman who loves prorgamming/CS going into another male-dominated field...YES! Your comment inflamed my cold heart and I am now feeling the rage!

Blue Pill is a great subreddit to check out. They link the craziest redpill stories, but the comment threads on that forum are sane and everyone makes fun of redpillers.

Thanks for the article link! I have to admit though that I really enjoyed their cynicism regarding men and their self-delusions.

That’s so interesting that some women are actually driven towards illegal sex work as a result of legalization. I wonder if they would be better served if they formed a sex worker union.

It might be the image that people conjure in their heads. For example, someone might think of prostitution as a woman/man performing sex on their own free will for their own profit. But someone else might think of trafficking victims. From the article, I’m guessing women are more likely to think of the ugliest

Does anyone know if any country legalized prostitution, and then saw dramatic improvements in the sex worker industry/trafficking situation?

I used to think that way until I saw how many people follow the redpill subreddit....then I realized that there truly are a statistically significant morons out there

Haha, well your original comment was
