Fair point. I should have said they’re not directly trying to prevent employees from using contraception. I’m sure if there were a legal way for them to ban employees from using any kind of birth control they would be doing so.

These employers don’t want the insurance their companies provide to pay for birth control. They’re not trying to prevent employees from using it, they are trying to make sure that their company’s insurance doesn’t have to pay for it. (Of course that will prevent some people from using it because the price will be too

I’m confused as to why the Navy allowed the White House team to take these photos and videos in the first place.

That’s the part I’m confused about too. Why would cameras be allowed if these people’s identities needed to be kept secret?

The Santa tracker is run by volunteers but the Dept of Defense is fully funded anyway so the shutdown shouldn’t affect NORAD.

Rule of thumb: complimenting clothing is ok because it is complimenting your fashion sense or whatever. Complimenting the way someone’s body looks in the clothes is not ok. So “I love the color of that shirt” is ok but “I love the way your breasts look in that shirt” is not ok. This isn’t rocket science.

That sounds amazing but I fear that getting buzzed at IKEA would be very expensive for me. It wouldn’t take more than two drinks before I would be ready to buy all the things!

But will they still have meatballs?

A male colleague of mine often holds afte hours meetings at his house to work on projects with small teams. Am I required to pass up these opportunities just because I am female?  Should I ask “Are there going to be plenty of other folks there because I’m afraid if we’re alone you might try to rape me.?”

What would a mandatory retirement age be? 70? 75? Some people are on the decline by then while others remain healthy and mentally vibrant for many more years.

Me too. This is the world we live in now I guess.

Can one become a Senator, especially if one is a woman, without being at least somewhat ruthless and opportunistic?

I feel like this is one of those “If a tree falls in the woods...” questions.

I felt like wedding dress shopping was the second best part of wedding planning. (The best part, of course, was cake tasting!) If it wasn’t for the fact that I’d be taking up the time of a sales person who probably works on commission I’d love to get some friends together and spend an afternoon trying on wedding

Way to crush my dreams with your facts and being right and all. :(

It’s always seemed like skirts would work better with male genitalia than trousers do. I don’t personally have male genitalia though so I’m just guessing.

American Eagle started getting all my money when my oldest graduated to adult sizes. It was like they actually understood that even though the clothes might be for the kids it was the adults who were doing the buying. The stores had plenty of light, the music wasn’t too loud, and the sales people were always super

If a spot on my underwear was my only risk then I might share your opinion. Unfortunately, my cycle tends to start heavy so if I didn’t have an app to alert me I might bleed through my clothes before I realized.

I think there’s a feeling like they will be the one who can make this work. They will be the savior or at least the person who can fix this. They don’t want to believe that they will fail just like everyone else has.

No, that doesn’t strike me as fair. I also disagreed with them throwing out ballots because someone with no training didn’t think the signature matches what was on file. I could even support counting ballots where the birth dates don’t match because maybe the database is wrong or maybe someone is misreading the
