I sweat like crazy but I live 5 min from my gym. I toss on a fresh t-shirt and drive home. My gym’s accommodations are very nice but I’d still rather shower at home with my own space and my own stuff.

I bet you can buy a tie clip with the presidential seal on it at the White House gift shop. (Disclaimer: I don’t actually know if the White House has a gift shop, it just seems like it would since everything else does.)

I was thrilled to discover that Economics and Personal Finance is a required class for high school graduation in my area. In addition to some basic economic theory my daughter’s class has covered budgeting and taxes. I know there was some discussion if mortgage types and rent vs. own housing decisions. I don’t know if

This was my big question. It would make sense if they’d both been drunk but what sober person thinks this is a good idea?

I was hoping that was just part of the dress design and not actually her bra strap. I get that I’m old and the youngs aren’t as concerned with visible bra straps as we were when I was growing up but that strap changes the whole visual line of the dress. I also think it’s a lovely dress but one does not wear a cocktail

This is a very important point. It’s not like Regan just didn’t want to go. “I was just shot” is a valid excuse for skipping just about anything.

Yes, I saw shot sized Solo cups on a recent trip to Wal Mart. I don’t think they were Solo brand but they were styled like the classic red Solo cups.

I’m not a big makeup person but I’d heard good things about Glossier’s skin care so I checked out their website a while back. I was turned off by the fact that it kept referring to “girls”. I am 40-something years old so I took this as a sign that their products are for my daughter but not for me.

Do gay men hang out in men’s bathrooms and locker rooms creepily watching people? I assume they don’t. I’ve never felt creepily stared at by gay women in women’s bathrooms or locker rooms. Why would trans people be any different?

No, no, I meant the kids shouldn’t do flips on the trampoline. Head should remain above ankles at all times. This doesn’t eliminate the possibility of neck injuries but it reduces it by a lot. Sorry I freaked you out.

The thing that sealed the deal against buying a trampoline for me was that you really should only have one person on it at a time. If you only have one person at a time and they aren’t allowed to flip trampolines become much safer.

Thanks for this info. I’ve been meaning to call and find out if I could get my IUD replaced before it expires. I’m bummed to hear it probably won’t be covered. :(

It’s like a muumuu with a plunging v-neck. (And I don’t mean that in a good way.)

Right? While I don’t agree, I can see the (misguided) logic that a family member might have some kind of say but why does the doctor have a say in this?

Alternate clean.

My husband and I each recently got different brands of memory foam pillows. Mine says it can be washed, his says do not wash. So, I guess it depends? I did read that the washable ones take many cycles through the dryer to get fully dry so make sure you plan time for that if you try washing.

I assume that’s vinegar in addition to regular detergent? How much vinegar do you use?

I purchased citric acid from Amazon. I actually bought it to try to make bath bombs (didn’t work out) and didn’t know it could be used for household cleaning.

We can only observe it as we wait in the backup at the toll plaza while driving through to other east coast destinations.

Is it hard to get them out after? Does it matter if they’re latex or non-latex sponges? So many questions!
