What Do You Want To Know About The Volkswagen ID.7?
This past week, I got a Mustang and an Edge as rentals.
A little disappointed in us all. Other than the Morgan, these cars are just what you’d see at the parking lot at the town’s “nice” mall.
No Miata in the actual list.
It’s already well-established that heavier vehicles do more damage to roads than lighter ones, so it only makes sense for them to pay extra for the privilege of driving, say, a GMC Hummer EV.
Who would have thought making a Mercedes that looks nothing like a Mercedes and charging Mercedes prices wouldn’t go well. We have to move away from EVs being designed like weird EVs.
The GMC version of the SUV is unique in that respect, the Chevy Tahoe doesn’t take nearly as long to sell. Then again, the Yukon is more of a luxury vehicle than the Tahoe, and the Yukon’s high luxury corresponds to a higher price
It was too soon for trucks. The amount of power they need is way too high for Lithium tech. When we see some of these new batteries that promise double and triple density it might make sense again, but no one wants a $52,000, 8500 lb half ton“work truck”.
Yeah but if you’re driving over 900 miles in a day you are WAY out of the norm. No matter how much range you cram into a battery there’s always someone who’ll complain they need 100 more miles.
If they cannot leave the house without being armed, they should contact a medical professional.
It’s fascinating to me that thousands of electrically powered pumps can transfer gasoline to cars from underground tanks every day with near 100% reliability, while devices designed to merely transfer some electrons can’t seem to consistently work at all.
parking lights - more people need to use these. for when you want the interior lit but hey maybe you don’t need to have your headlights on giving me an xray when you park across from me in some parking lot and play on your phone
Hey! This is from me probably a year ago lol. I ended up getting a 2011 Volvo C30 Rdesign, a long with my Supra! Here’s some pics.
Come on man. “If a cyclist gets hit by a car, they are suffering serious injures and going to the hospital at a minimum.” I’ve seen countless videos posted of cyclists getting hit by cars who get up and rage out like a lunatic, so going to the hospital at a minimum is absolutely untrue.
Every time I read stories like this, it’s always all about what everyone else needs to do to accommodate cyclists. Never is there ever a word about what cyclists need to do to build allies. I walk to and from work every day. Cycling to work, for the reasons outlined here as well as those mentioned in other comments…
One of the things we need to emphasize is education. Not just for car drivers, but also bicyclists.
Perhaps we should push for lighter vehicles and reconsider the headlong rush to 6000lb vehicles since there are a lot of unintended consequences. In addition to increasing tire dust pollution and environmental destruction from rare earth and copper mining we now have to build more pparking garages, or tear down and…
I’m... not angry about this? The average person is an inconsiderate moron. This reminds me of the time I had to yell at someone at the gas station. All the pumps were taken except for one pair of pumps on one side... and I was behind another vehicle and they pulled up and stopped at the FIRST PUMP without pulling…
ya’ll need to stop complaining about no wireless mirroring in cars. Have we learned nothing, wired is superior, more reliable and it charges your phone at the same time. Also requires no setup at all. Kia’s system doesn’t do wireless and I could care less, its also a really good UI.
1. The US average price of a new car is $48k.
