Oh, the same guy who expressed deep skepticism about a rumor, then later updated to verify the falsehood of the thing?

I see your point, yeah. The problem is systemic, it exists beyond the individual. But if we don't hold community leaders accountable, what should we do instead?

"It exists everywhere" hardly seems like a good excuse for behavior.

This is a very thoughtful response, and helps to give some better more immediate context to the article. Thanks.

I'm having this disconnect myself, having just started Uncharted 1. Everybody I talked to was all, "it's like Indiana Jones!" but really all I've done for the first several hours has been shooting hundreds (and hundreds) of dudes in the face.

I've been playing Morroblivion! Something of a bitch to setup, but it sure is awesome.

Star Wars has always made more sense within a fantasy context than a science fiction context.

And another. Much of this is entirely inappropriate for orchestral arrangement, but I'm just so jazzed about its inventiveness and musicality. And the fact that it's from C64 games. Other C64 games don't sound like this.

Tim Follin was, of course, a genius and a wizard.

For $9.99, you can get the Adventure Pack, which includes this, Loom, and two Indiana Jones adventures. Which is an even sweeter deal, really.

It's not really a choice. You don't CHOOSE to be a woman, or homosexual, or whatever. And it's not the only thing that defines them, but it's still a Thing.

I disagree. I don't think people should have to disregard whole identities in the public space just so that they won't be alienated. It's a problem of privilege. I'm a white, straight, American male, and I can reference those identities as much as I want and nobody cares. And I don't tamp those identities down,

In general, I very much agree with this.

I think the goal is to get a better, clear picture of what the playerbase wants, which is not necessarily just what's seen on the forums. A huge percentage of players never comment on a game's forums, and so it's problematic to try and figure out THEIR needs as well.

It's not the sole duty of videogames and gamers, you're right, but I don't think it helps anyone to imagine that it has nothing to do with us. We're gamers, but also human beings, and we should be able to be invested in our own culture. They're complex issues, that other media is more than glad to tackle all the time.

WOOOOOORDS!!!

What a great soundtrack.

Well - why shouldn't it keep coming up?

Now it's more clear. Sorry for being lame and dragging this out way more than it should have been.
