You only ever chance dying from framerate drops in the aforementioned area. It's unfortunate, but it's not something you usually (or even often) encounter in the game.

"The rapidly diminishing percentage of hard core PC gamers..."

I say this with respect, understanding, and no ill-will.

I've wondered that, too, about the budget of that game. My understanding was that it had a development time of only 6 weeks; it was basically kicked out the door by the publisher in time for a holiday release, with no real concern for fit, polish, or overall completeness or publishability of the product. Maybe it's a

It's still interesting to know whether or not the single-player campaign is any good. If I have to choose between a game with a solid MP experience AND SP experience, and a game without SP, I'd choose the former every time.

Woah, that's so interesting. Thanks for posting that!

That's exactly what I thought of when reading that.

I agree with most everything that you say here. E.T. was indeed a bad game (at best, pervasively mediocre), but it's its role in the events of history that make it so infamous. I especially agree that it's a kind of shorthand between gamers, a touchstone of in-group solidarity. That's a point smartly made.

Work on the dragon was started only a few hours ago, and it was posted with some reservation since it's so early in the process.

I'll be more than happy to invade, once I work out my system.

To be fair, you can also run away in Dark Souls, if you're also okay with being mercilessly backstabbed.

And that pizza will be the best goddamn pizza ever ordered.

Kill millions and millions of zombie rats.

You want a certain experience for the money, and that's fair. But MMOs make huge heaps of money, as do casual social games.

That you can't opt out digitally is absurd, and serves to show the depth of cynicism and contempt toward their customers that these companies have.

I'm opting out, but not for practical reasons. A move like this shows such contempt toward consumers. It's a middle finger and a fuck you to us, and I'd rather not give them that satisfaction, even if I am ultimately just a statistic.

One way to leap (if I'm remembering correctly) is to run, then tap (or double-tap) O.

Woah, I was just about to make those exact comparisons.

I'm impressed that they're doing such a far-reaching update this long after release. Bravo to them.

My first computer was a bondi blue iMac G3. I got Descent 3 for Christmas that year, and I lost (and won) the entirety of my middle teen years in front of that computer.
