The best time that ever happened to me was when I saw Videodrome in Pittsburgh.  The theater went fucking crazy.

This one was actually pretty good, I liked the first paragraph.  Poetic.

I watched that tonight too!  I'm thinking of showing the first part of the first episode, with the fire brigade.  A lot of the kids are musical, so the discussion on what music might have accompanied a silent film is perfect.  Plus - no special effects means they basically just had to BURN DOWN A FUCKING BUILDING in

It's definitely grating, I had to keep pausing it to go do something else for a minute.  I may be in the minority here but I think the whole thing would have been much better with a voice actor, like James Mason on Brownlow's Hollywood.  Someone you can listen to for 15 hours and not want to kill yourself.  Based on

I was just watching the first episode tonight.  So far it's pretty interesting and unusual.  The voice…the voice is a little irritating, and so is some of the footage they filmed for the series (eyeroll at the Christmas ornament) and it's a little slow.  But it's interesting.  I was looking for a documentary on silent

I always saw it as a Mary/Mr. Grant kind of relationship.  Ron does hate spunk.
