Season 2 is still my favorite, but that finale really hit home.  I never really cry at emotional stuff but I was sobbing all through that.  When Alex realizes she can't get back to her daughter, after all this time…god.  I was so invested in that show.  Life on Mars had a great finale as well, first time I can

In a Lonely Place though…damn is that ending a punch to the gut.  Devastating performance and a fantastic film.

I'd never seen that Candid Camera clip before, that was lovely.  Thanks for sharing.

I'm curious as to why they decided to set the episode in a specific camp (Dachau) and then be so slapdash about the history.  The tattoo is emphasized as a plot point, but the prisoners at Dachau were never tattooed with their numbers (this occurred at Auschwitz and no other camps).  Dachau also did not have gas

Funkadelic - Can You Get to That?
Noel Coward - Don't Let's Be Beastly to the Germans
Sharon Needles - Kai Kai
Doris Day - Do Do Do

I'm so glad these reviews are back!  I really love Two, one of my favorite episodes precisely because there isn't much exposition.  It gives you room to wonder.  A lot of good episodes this season - Little Girl Lost, Midnight Sun, Five Characters in Search of an Exit, and The Changing of the Guard are all ones I'm

Something I didn't even know I wanted, and now I want it so bad!  I would love to see a superhero movie with a similar comic sensibility to that series, I'm tired of the gritty realness.

Was it just me, or was she kissing that rock-guitar guy in next week's previews?  Because yes.  If that happens I will take back every negative thing I ever said about this show.

I really enjoyed this episode, thanks to THINGS FINALLY HAPPENING!  It seemed like a huge turnaround from previous weeks, not sure if something changed but hopefully this is the start of a much better series.  I liked it even better than the Smash premiere, which is saying something, because Smash is my heroin

Thanks for the vote of confidence!  I keep thinking it's something I should try but never actually do…I also want to try sewing sometime, my mom and my grandmothers all sewed but for some reason I never got into it.  I'm not sure where to start though.

I knit too!  Mostly lace knitting but sometimes sweaters.  And small things as gifts.  My last project was this:

I have to keep finding more and more complicated patterns or else I get bored with it.  Don't know what to make next but I might try designing my own sweater, I've never designed

Hey, she's not all bad.  As I recall from her duet with Jennifer Hudson, she has a nice pair….of lungs.

Or, god forbid, a "muse."  In what universe…

Michael.
….Riedel.

ah this is perfect, thank you!

Yeah, I really enjoy it and I can't explain why.  There are enough things I like to offset all the things I either hate or don't care about.

I'll be honest, I miss Leo.  That kid just cracked me up every time he was on.

Hi guys who watch New Girl, maybe you can help me.  I keep hearing that this show is good but I watched a few episodes back when it started - I think there was a thanksgiving-themed one, and the pilot - and they were both terrible.  So I wrote it off.  But now I want to catch up.  Is there a point where it gets good?

I collect old etiquette books, and almost all of them say that to treat a waiter or a salesperson badly is the single worst thing you can do.  Technically it is an abuse of power since they cannot respond.  Vogue's book has it listed as the very first rule - kindness and patience at all times when dealing with anyone

I found it!!  It says "Birthday greetings to [my name] from Mister Rogers."  It must have been my birthday.  I think framing is definitely in order.
