I’m sure a bunch of them are, just going from my observations with peers I have known (and subsequently stopped talking to). It’s quite sad how many of them have never really developed beyond that ‘i’m always right’ phase and have no grasp on reality outside of ‘ video game culture ‘.

Steam forums are fucking repulsive, as are most spots where gamers congregate. Actually, gamers are fucking repulsive. I would never admit to being a “gamer” in public. I enjoy games, but it’s not my entire life.

I wouldn’t go as far to say that most audience members are morons, but I’d say a good percentage of people really don’t pick up on things unless explicitly stated or shown. 

every preview KOTAKU released emphasized the pokemon with guns aspects, I don’t recall seeing the actual company emphasizing that, gameplay trailers showed it, but from their description of the game it was always a survival game.

Although recognizable, I found the voice acting in Metal Gear Solid games always clumsy and like they were trying too hard to sound gruff and macho; including Hayter.

I feel like a lot of the love for the voice is just nostalgia and just not having anything else to compare to.

I felt like DMZ was a good evolution from the Plunder game mode in the original Warzone, and some of the updates added to DMZ were starting to give it it’s own identity as well. The first time I stumbled into the underground area with no NVG was a truly terrifying and awesome experience.
