Trials is probably the least played mode in the game and the fact that very few people have the trophy for reaching the Spire supports that. Trials is not a big chunk. Trials is a PvP mode for the most hardcore of the hardcore PvP players.

Now that I think about it, could they not just disable emotes in PvP shortterm than outright cancel the mode for 2 weeks? They have the functionality to lock equipment, surely it could be extended to lock one specific aspect of the inventory.
