On one hand I believe going into Shenmue 3 Suzuki was completely open about the fact it wouldn’t finish the story. On the other hand that fact still amazes me.

You’ve not watched a lot of anime I take it.
Yakuza probably wouldn’t exist without Shenmue, and I think that’s the series’ true enduring legacy.
No doubt that’s the hope, but there’s a vast gulf between rekindling interest in a series with a (hopefully good) anime series and getting enough games in production and release to churn through the other projected 60% of Shenmue’s story.
I hope it does. The odds of getting the 6 or 7 games Yu Suzuki wants is basically nil after Shemue 3, so if Shenmue’s story is to conclude switching mediums is probably the best chance the series has.
Pity they didn’t choose an interesting D&D setting like Sigil or Eberron or Athas for their crossover. I’d bring up Ravenloft as well but Innistrad exists so...
Considering Red Burn exists? Absolutely yes.
No.
What kind of Muks? Because Alolan Muks would be a huge help in environmental clean-up.
Curiously there are more pro-epic takes than anti-epic takes, so I’m not sure how you can say you weren’t disappointed.
“I didn’t actually pay attention to this person’s report of their game experience, but I’m still going to go ahead and condescendingly assume they just ‘Did It Wrong’(TM)“
It actually wasn’t, CIG was in breach of contract.
The reason why is the reputation of Chris Roberts, the head of the project and president of the company. He’s something of a rock star to a certain demographic of old school gamers. He made the old Wing Commander games with Origin Systems, which are a flock of games that hold up extremely well. From that background he…
Duke Nukem Forever is a fair comparison because the only way Star Citizen will see the light of day is if the company goes bankrupt and gets sold off to another developer. Christ Roberts’ “Best Damn Space Game Ever” is never coming out.
Despite what Hiero Glyph believes I have nothing against the workers on this game, you gotta do what you gotta do to live, eat, and put a roof over your head. That’s just reality and I don’t dispute that, and I think it’s unhelpful to say “they should just find another job” because it assumes far too much about the…
Ah, yes, my “campaign” against Rowling. Yes, how dreadful it is, the tragic fallout of my “campaign” against Rowling, the wages of war are truly beyond the pale. If only I had the moral clarity and decency to end my “campaign” I have undertaken against the TERF JK Rowling by...not buying a video game. Do you listen to…
Yeah, the last point is what I find most offensive about Hiero Glyph’s screed. “Won’t somebody think of the billionaire businesses and those sad capitalistic fatcats?” is one of the most disgusting moral positions you can take in today’s world.
Ooh! Ooh! I can answer question 5!
You’re welcome!
