Reminder that Charizard isn’t actually a dragon type unless it Mega Evolves. Goomy is more of a dragon than Charizard.

You have my attention.
DEHUMANIZE YOURSELF AND FACE TO GIANT ROBOTS!
Yep, Death of the Author applies to Video Games as well as anything else.
And just like Luvdisc, “a cactus that dances at you” is a category with more than one qualifying pokemon.
Yep. The Japanese is “Jijilong”, a combination of “Jiji” japanese for Grandpa and “long” which is chinese for dragon. It also is based on a type of chinese dragon with an old man’s face.
Pokemon’s writing has been consistently getting better and better as time has gone on. Sun and Moon are legitimately well written and do a heck of a lot of heavy lifting in terms of themes and ideas.
Meanwhile behind the scenes at Hearthstone and Blizzard...
Actually FF14 does have enemies called Cactuars. They just also have enemies called Sabotenders. There’s even a quest that pokes fun at this fact, where you’re sent to acquire specifically Sabotender Fruit. The description for Sabotender Fruit reads, and I’m quoting:
Thank you! I’m not alone!
On a contrary note that’ll never make it out of grays, This year’s SGDQ is my pick for the worst I’ve ever seen, and I HATED the Kaizo race. Partly this is because I find Kaizo thoroughly uninteresting, but mostly because it was the most commercialized run I’ve ever seen, and I mean that because it was legitimately…
Gonna pop in and recommend Rahxephon, the best post-Eva Eva-style mecha anime. It was described to me once, pitch-perfect, that if Eva is a psychological drama with giant robots then Rahxephon is a giant robot anime with psychological drama. Damn good show, good designs, good characters, plus giant robot action.
The most astonishing thing is that they bothered at all. I mean they were never going to seriously punish Disrespect for what he did considering how much he pulls in for twitch, so why pretend?
4th was my favorite edition in large part because everyone could be cool in a number of ways in their roles, and the combat was the best DnD Combat ever has been.
Acerola has a Mimikyu in the pokemon anime that is explicitly stated to be the ghost of a Mimikyu, so it can fly and go through walls. This is in contrast to Team Rocket’s Mimikyu, which is a living Mimikyu. Thus we have the ghost of a ghost-type pokemon that is still just a ghost-type pokemon.
I did. I was just doing some good old fashioned frustrating griping. Don’t mind me.
I posted basically this, and I wonder sometimes why I bother.
FWIW the fan theory, while popular, is probably wrong.
I’d take another really good Side Scrolling Action RPG like Front Mission Gun Hazard.
