There’s no place where I can get a hoagie with green peppers and spinach except for Subway.
Literally nobody can spell chamois, anywhere in the world.
It really has to do with explaining who a foreign body is. For example, The Guardian - a British newspaper - tends to refer to the EPA as the Environmental Protection Agency. Nobody in the US uses anything but the acronym, but it’s a courtesy to explain the identity behind the acronym.
Evaporated milk instead of cheese???
This is a country where people believe that children will only eat plain cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets. What do you think those children grow up to be like?
For the vast majority of people, this intolerance just makes them miserable - it doesn’t kill them. So these genes just keep on going.
Yeah, I see that it’s in the article. But if a sighted person can’t see the remaining value on a gift card or the value on a custom-loaded gift card, then there is no special accessibility concern for it.
if you want it to indicate value you either need to keep multiple SKUs of stock (one of the major reasons restaurants and fast food moved to gift cards so aggressively was that you can keep one SKU and put nearly any value on it)
Have you ever tried aiming a camera at a tiny code while blind? I’m not thinking it’s all that easy. NFC tags and readers becoming more ubiquitous would be much more useful. Just tap the card with your phone to get the balance.
This is why it should be legal to just buy beer online in every state.
As to the word choice of “without a hint”, I merely didn’t feel like trying to do a full mental inventory of my cellar
Without a hint of hoppiness still sounds like a non-zero amount of hops. Example. I hate cucumber. If someone puts a slice of cucumber on a sandwich and then takes it off, I will still taste it and won’t want it.
a large (red) percentage of the country believes that many jobs (food service, retail, etc) should not pay nearly enough to support an independent adult.
someone who doesn’t really like hops and avoids beers that have too noticeable a hoppy profile.
Just stop tipping. That’s how this changes.
“I don’t like the taste” is akin to trying black licorice the first time and deciding you don’t like the taste of candy
