Not everyone is going to fork over the $60. The levelling process overall is pretty quick, and it's interesting to do at least once. It's also easier to learn a new class that way as opposed to providing everything in bursts.

That's correct. The exploit that got people to 90 so quickly dealt with some rapidly respawning turtles in Krasarang Wilds.

It's really well crafted!

Not an inaccurate description.

Ah Snit... good ol' Canadian nostalgia

I wish it was real, too. :(

That story is actually fake.

Actually, there was a 25 man DK team that did heroic Dragon Soul (the entire raid - not just the final boss) back when it was still current content. And just a bit before that, there was a 10 man DK team that defeated heroic Ragnaros in Firelands.

It's not the first time there's been all Death Knight raids. DKs have always had a strong mix between damage, durability, survivability and self-healing.

I've mixed Coke with Orange Fruitopia (2-3 parts Coke to 1 part Fruitopia). It turned out pretty well.

Hmm, maybe I haven't been seeing eye to eye on your definition of "equal." I think you're referring to it as almost a mathematical sense (penis is not exactly the same as vagina, thus not equal), whereas i was still referring to it as "one thing being better or worse than another thing."

You see it all the time. Mother's take care of their sons - even into adulthood. Wives take care of their husbands. Sisters take care of their brothers.

It's definitely true that often times creators make creations that they identify with. I also agree we would have better representation when more women and minorities enter the field (we need to remove those barriers to entry - those pressures you mentioned, however).

Personally, it wouldn't affect my feeling for the story if the genders were reversed. Why does a prince in need of help need assistance in being "attractive?" Why is there less worth in vulnerability - particularly in men?

But can we say that the differences that we have make us unequal? I mean obviously being black probably means you're going to have a tougher time in the society we live in today, but let's make a [wild] assumption that we've solved social inequality. How then are we not equal? Do you mean in the sense that some people

Decent counterpoint with your metaphor there! :P

It's funny you should bring up Shadow of the Colossus - I was actually thinking about it earlier and how it identifies in the series of tropes. I don't see that one particularly as a damsel in distress story as much as I do - "how far would you go for the one you love the most?"

(Sorry to respond to your post in multiple replies - I swear I'm not attacking you!) :)

Heck, even equating video games to a fallen fruit can illustrate my point. The fallen fruit has the seed that will become a new tree (the next generation) that has the same properties as the tree it came from. We need to be able to change the fruit to be able to grow a better tree.
