While I agree with you in most scenarios, what about people who live in places where it's super impractical to drive a stick. (Places with tons of stoplights on super steep hills, for example)

Logitech mice have a 2 (3?) year warranty. My G500 crapped out (registered double click when I single clicked) a month or two before the warranty was up. Maybe look in to that?

I don't know what your finances are like, but maybe check out your local community college and see if they have courses in that language? They might even have evening classes if you have a full time job.
