You know, I went back and looked at this ‘cause it got another star the other day and popped up on my alerts. My comment was not helpful and it missed the point. I apologize.

My read (and I could be wrong) is not that they “don’t think it’s viable for their regular network,” but rather that they actually realize it’s SO viable that some people will shell out for a monthly subscription to their stupid platform just to access it. It’s a damn ransom.

I mean, yes. CBS is garbage when it comes to how they manage their IP. They’re one of the worst. But they’re also delusional. They have some decent content, but they’re nuts if they think it’s enough to justify a $6-10/month subscription fee.

Yup. When it comes out, it’ll be time to fire up the VPN and go exploring....

Seriously, though. I used to think ~$5-8 to rent a movie to stream at home on iTunes or Amazon or wherever was ridiculous. But with theater tickets being so expensive.... the streaming rental prices are actually not seeming too bad to us anymore. They cover the whole family, can be watched in PJs, can be paused,…
