Welcome to software Hell. About once a year, I find myself needing to find a freeware or open-source alternative that lets me open, edit, fill out, and sign .PDFs. Adobe Acrobat makes the process painfully easy, but that convenience will cost you $13/month at minimum (sigh).

I never watched Fringe. It came out when I didn’t have the opportunity to watch much TV. (Before tenure, that is.)
Ever since Jordan Peele gave us Get Out, there’s been a trend in pop culture entertainment that upsets the shit outta me—everything (and oh my Lord, do I mean everything) is centered on Black Pain.
It’s even funnier because now we know she kicked Sam’s ass too.
Even Debris, their X-Files clone, is somber and weepy. I’m watching it (I’m a sucker for alien movies and TV shows), but it needs to get somewhere soon.
I have an idea how it would have turned out.
Debris feels like the X-Files as written by the writers of This is Us. I’m going to give it a few episodes to see if it picks up momentum because I am a sucker for alien contact stories.

Progressives in America need better slogans in general. If you need a full PowerPoint deck to explain what your slogan *really* means, then go back to the drawing board.
