I played through the original Fable once, and never played any of the others for more than a few hours. I might pick this up so my 360 has something to do.

I whole heartedly agree with you. I'm straight, but I look at things like this, and pride parades, and really question what they're trying to achieve.
I have a piece of paper on my desk somewhere that I worked everything out on, then I loaded my pay days into my google calender with a note explaining how much I can keep, and how much I should move to my savings. I have a reminder on the 15th of the month that tells me I have to pay bills and how much I usually owe.…
First, you have a wicked sweet game. I worked at a T-Mobile activations call center for two days before leaving during lunch on the third. How people put up with that for long periods of time, I'll never know.
When you put yourself on any gaming oriented online community, you're announcing to a crowd of 10% people,…
Unless there is significantly more intelligent dialogue in the actual game, I'm filing this one beside "Pride Parades" as a missed opportunity. Instead of overt stereotypical wacky sexuality why not include an actual message, instead of affirming popular conceptions.
Or, whatever, I mean I grew up with Leisure Suit…
I actually left the feed after like 2 minutes, and came back a while later. I was, and still am, 99% not interested in motion gaming. Every 100 games that comes out tied to the Wii, Kinect or Move perks my ears up but other then that, bleh.
I know lots of people who still play 20+ year old games. There are several used games stores in my town that are almost solely 20+ year old games. Small time two dudes and a dog kind of operations. If I can quote myself from a previous post:
"I fear that if consoles adopt the online activation policy, one day when I…
I didn't really read the rest of the conversation per se...
I've had a steady internet connection for the 4 years I've been with Telus, the only down times being when a car hit a telephone pole, and when there was a black out. My concern isn't really on my side of the fence, it's what happens when someone decides to…
I think I'll wait for Temash
The PC/Console argument isn't really valid. I can turn off my internet and still play my Steam games. In 20 years when the original publishers have folded and I don't have my Steam backups/DVDs anymore and I want to play the games then someone can pick up the publishing rights, and re-release the game, see GOG.com.
Wi…
Sad but true. I was never much of an Xbox gamer, it doesn't have many exclusives that interest me. This online callback stuff made it so I'm not even entertaining the idea. I'm building a fund for my PS4 right now if Sony screws me on that then I guess my girlfriend and I get new computers! Our 6950's are starting…
Team Ico beats the hype drum slowly.
Except the drum is a chick, wait...no.
They usually announce that they're working on something amazing, then disappear for years.
Dragon Age: Origins took about 5 years, Half Life 2 took about 5 years, Resident Evil 4 was in dev for around 6 years, Shenmue took 6 years.
It goes both ways, development time is not indicative of quality at all.
Ugh, I hate that my factory closed down :( I can't provide buckets o' money to every project that crosses my desk anymore. I'd be more willing to put more than a few bucks in, but I've backed a couple projects this month already.
I always love when someone mentions the Quake engines. The Quake I engine was the first True-3D engine. Huge amounts of it remained in the Quake II engine, and large parts of it were still included in the Quake 3 (id Tech 3) engine. It was only until id Tech 4 (Doom 3), when the engine was moved from C to C++ that…
It's arguable, but it is an insanely fantastic engine.
It takes time for developers to start eeking out every last drop from the consoles. There are already new engines in the works like Unreal 4 and Valve's new engine that should provide plenty of overhead. We're still in that weird space where games are coming out on PS3/PS4 and 360/XBone (Watch Dogs, AC4, etc.). I…
After 20+ years of gaming, I still occasionally glance at the pad, and I think it'd be nice if it had a soft warm glow to it. The D pad on the 360 for some reason is the greatest point of failure for me. I feel like I'm either mashing near the edge, or slopping around near the middle if I go for it without looking.
I bought a 360 at the behest of many people I know. I grabbed a second controller because I live with my GF and that's a thing you're expected to do. I picked up Black Ops 2, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Dead Rising.
Holy moly! The performance of Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey are TERRIBLE! So choppy and laggy,…
