This. I was surprised Ari was so taken with the demo, because, like, we’ve played this game before, and it wasn’t doing anything to stand out from what I could tell.

I do not get the hype around this game. Gameplay reminded me of a mix of Gears of War and Warframe (fine things to crib from). The world/character/script were painfully generic and at points laughably bad.
Correct sir it is a very fresh and diverse genre sir!!! No sir I would never want to put you in danger sir!!!
This game smells like Marvel’s Avengers but the schtick is gore instead of superheroes.
Oh excuse my hyperbole I didn’t realize Kinja comments were a sarcasm free zone, so sorry sir, yes sir!
That’s because it’s the same game you’ve played virtually 100 times, with no public lobbies, chat channels or modes of socializing unless you play with your friends, who probably aren’t on the same platform.
tl;dr: it’s not very good, it’s another looter shooter you have to cover and keeping it interesting may prove…
It’s been over a year since the pandemic started and I still see people not having their mask cover their nose.
I’ve always understood it as the ability to critique a topic without personal attachment (and potential influence) to that topic. You can still have an opinion, you’re just able to identify and critique the strengths and weaknesses of all sides of the argument. To the matter at hand: Can a person who experienced…
Victims don’t always volunteer that information either. They frequently don’t.
Agree with the final objective of what you’re aiming for, but the whole “Screening” thing seems like an odd way to respond to them.
Isn’t it the editorial staffs job to actually read the article written and then decide if they feel it is unduly biased?
Except, you’re not asking me to see a double standard. Your arguments try to push the focus from China, and it ignores that when the US is silent on human rights abuses, the world doesn’t say, “well, I guess the Americans don’t have any right to say anything because they’re racist.” They say, “Where the hell are you,…
No, I believe in holding China accountable for human rights abuses. Don't put words in my mouth.
This “let he who has not sinned cast the first stone” approach works well when you’re dealing with judgemental people.
It might even be verbatim, as it definitely sounds like the Soviet-written “Jimmy is a black boy” text they use in English textbooks.
The Chinese government doesn’t care about the human rights violations being committed by the US. They just want America to get off their backs and are trying to use George Floyd’s name in vain to do it.
The Chinese government did basically the same thing to Canada yesterday, responding to criticism of its human rights record with “Yeah, well, what about your treatment of indigenous people?”
Yeah, this is 28 pages of Chinese Whataboutisms. Don’t fall for it.
And now that I’ve had my coffee, I also want to add that the Chinese government has some nerve putting George Floyd’s name in their mouths after what they did to the African diaspora in Guangzhou when the coronavirus hit.
Your point is mostly valid.
“And you are lynching negroes.”
