I’ve lived in California for several years, so I may be unfamiliar, but which candidates are you referencing? Abbott? He definitely campaigned on God and Guns, but I can’t see the other things happening. Cruz or Cornyn? Same thing.

Still, it really does go for both ways. I hear it at least once every single time I’m traveling in Europe and I tell someone I’m from Texas. “Where’s your boots? Did you ride a horse to school?”
