Oh yeah plus she has an Oscar so it’s not like she is desperate for work, but for some reason the Afflecks and Matt Damon are well liked by people in Hollywood so it’s not making her life easier by doing this. Side note, I am super excited about Captain Marvel.

Funny enough NPR was the first place I heard a person on who agreed with me that MBTS was kind of cheap emotionally. NOT EVEN NPR LIKED YOUR MOVIE, CASEY.

Manchester By The Sea had some good moments but it didn’t really fit my personal taste because I honestly thought it went for cheap narratives to make the audience feel really sad and therefore think the movie is good. But a new soul seeing ILD makes me very happy. Not only does it have really good dry humor and

This is the second video of Freddie Mercury posted in the Jezebel comment sections today and I gotta say I hope this trend continues.

She should have won for Ex Machina, not The Danish Girl. Her peformance in Ex Machina was incredible.

Did you mean to post this as a reply? I agree though. She is awesome and I’m glad she is doing better.

Now playing

I only know because she was preggos while filming the second Avengers. I think that was the only real time she couldn’t do some stunt work in that series. Obviously her stunt double does the real shit but Scar Jo puts in WORK for the stunts she can do.

My mother did something similar when she was divorcing my asshole father (I was a babby). It worked very well.

Trying to portray Johansson as wanting public attention will not end well for this dude. She is one of the most private celebs I’ve ever seen.

The character was an asshole, but Isaac gave him just enough charm at certain times that made it believable that some people were still willing to help him out.

Now that I think about it I related to Llewyn Davis a lot so maybe I’m an asshole. Also that movie is what inspired me to go to school for filmmaking because his story oddly inspired me. I don’t understand why. Shit didn’t turn out well. Brb thinking about life choices.

That shitty movie was worth it for him. Not to mention his complete snub for supporting actor in Ex Machina or the snub for best actor in A Most Violent Year.

Agreed about Joel Edgerton. The movie itself was a little uneven at times (still quite good) but hot damn the acting in that movie was fantastic. Ruth and Joel deserved more than they got for those performances.

It is worth it. It has so many levels to it and it is so underrated.

Ben is the better Affleck. Which is like being the better piece of poop in the toilet bowl.

I have just seen too many brilliant subtle and muted performances that are able to add depth to a character and Affleck totally fell flat to me. HAVE I MENTIONED OSCAR ISAAC SHOULD HAVE WON FOR INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS??

I will admit that while Viola deserved that Oscar, she gave a leading performance not supporting. I can’t say for sure whether she would have deserved it without Viola in the mix because this was an abnormally good year for supporting actress performances, but I will say Michelle Williams was very great in this role

Casey Affleck was brilliant in Manchester by the Sea and absolutely deserved his Oscar.

I love her so much for this. Actually confirming that this was intentional is probably gonna make Affleck and Damon friends happy and for some reason they seem to wield some power in Hollywood. Good for her for not giving a fuck.

THIS CAME TO MY MIND IMMEDIATELY thank you for sharing the GOAT
