Not to mention that transit accessibility is an issue that affects the rest of us, too!

Yes! Fellow boring person!
Me tooooooo! Way way back. I used to read Feministe, too.
Well no, cis men cannot generally attend women’s colleges. Or they can attend some but not all programs. At Mills, cis men are only allowed to attend as grad students.
Women’s colleges can also be good because of the whole unconscious bias thing. Oftentimes, professors and other students will inadvertently privilege the contributions of male students.
I’m just such a naturalist, you know? It’s part of my humanism, which means I’m not a feminist.
This makes me sad, even though I know these types of spaces going away are an unfortunate casualty of the long and bumpy road to equality. It makes me worry for women’s colleges as well.
Oh butts. This makes me super unhappy.

Also hilarious and sad.
Ok, but this is the story of a lifetime.
I always think of Gossip Cop as the underappreciated sequel to Robocop where he goes around busting people for gossiping too much. Or a cheesy character that tells kids not to talk behind each others’ backs before or after a Saturday morning cartoon.
Same! I also voted for her in 2008 and though I got excited about Obama, I was sad when she didn’t make it.
Someone posted a conservative meme they’ve seen with her clothing being compared unfavorably to Ivanka Trump. As others pointed out, that is idiotic for a number of reasons but central to those reasons is the fact that she is the Presidential Nominee and not the first lady!
And I know a lot of people were angry at her for having a gradualist approach to the minimum wage, but I also feel like her approach is to be practical and to problem-solve, so she might not have originally thought that a $15 minimum wage was practical.
Wow...that’s just...thanks for posting. I’m mad and laughing at the same time.
Sloppy. If you’re going to engage in “all woman politicians are alike” nonsense, at least be more current. Theresa May is even a Conservative!
It is a HUGE milestone! It is a huge fucking deal! Almost three centuries it took us to elect a black man, and that was a huge fucking deal as well and there has never EVER been a woman president. It is a huge deal and symbolic as hell and we are going to fucking celebrate our asses off that we’ve gotten this far…
Excellent point and I am kicking myself for not even realizing that. WTF, me? It’s like that old riddle about the doctor and the father and the son in the emergency room where the punchline is that no one ever imagines the doctor could be a woman...
Most of all, I feel bad for their daughter. :(
