I thought it was also a nice callback to Daniel's nocturnal "I'm redoing the kitchen" from last season. Though this time he's actually fixing something.

"God, this show." is exactly what I think after every single episode.
Yes, excellent episode. Can't wait to discuss it!
So good to have this show back – and to see all the love for it in this comment section
again. I’ve managed to talk a bunch of people into it over the last year and every single one of them immediately fell in love. Even the most reserved people I know got teary-eyed when they started to talk about Rectify. In its very…
First time in my life that I'm kind of hyped for a German TV show. Never expected that to happen.
Yeah, didn't happen with me as well. Still super passionate about it and REALLY looking forward to S3.
I also successfully talked 10 people (or even more?) into the show and they all fell in love immediately.
How about Upstream Color?
It’s actually just the story of a traumatized child of divorce. I definitely liked the film more than the book it’s based on. But maybe it’s not the right film to get over your germaphobia. There are better ones out there.
I had re-watched season 1 (for the third time I think) some days before "Running with the bull“ aired and now I’m planning to do the same with season 2 – although I think I’ve already watched every episode at least twice.
When the first 30 seconds already make me cry I know I’m watching Rectify.
Same here. I'll totally miss this comments section. And, of course, your great reviews, Erik.
Yeah, I’ve never seen a comments section filled with so much
love and enthusiasm before. And that, as you said, probably won’t wear off. Reading Erik’s reviews and following the discussions here definitely increased my excitement for the show and now that it’s over (ugh, I’m still in denial about that) I’ll have to…
Yeah, I’m pretty excited to watch the whole season again.
And I’m also pretty sure that I’ll love it even more afterwards.
I wish I could just skip the coming Rectify-less period , there’s simply no other show I want to discuss so desperately.
"but this show somehow manages to have such a deep impact and tug at my heartstrings like almost no other show has“
This is great news. In fact it made - my - day!
It’s still possible that Sarah Newlin will be turned into a vampire, right?
Haha, that was exactly what I thought when Daniel made the „saved…forsook…“comment.
I realized that he tried to speak in biblical terms to Tawney but it still felt weird and overly dramatic to me.
Hm, I really don’t understand why we have to pigeonhole all
the characters. As madmeme already said, most people here do sympathize with Teddy because, yes, the writers turned him into a much more likable character this season. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t criticize him for some of his actions.
I don’t see him as…
Good points (as always). For some reason I feel bad for both Tawney and Ted Jr. The dynamics formed in an unhappy (or at least unbalanced) relationship are unpredictable and sometimes they just lead to destruction. Having feelings for another person isn’t something wrong just as it’s not wrong to be jealous of the…
Adelaide Clemens was fantastic in all her scenes this week. I've already liked her before but now I'm pretty sure I have a crush on her.
