STOP CUTTING ONIONS IN HERE!

I’m so sorry that you have lost your mother.

I’m sure I’ve seen something about friends and family being uncomfortable about parents forcing children to hug them, but I can’t find it anywhere.

And there was no supernatural element to that episode either. If I remember correctly, i09 listed it as the top scariest, most horrific episode of any tv show.

That’s a tough one; maybe get down to the toddler’s level, while the parent is there, and address the child directly, and say something like “You can give me a hug if you want to, but you don’t have to”. Maybe the parent will get the hint.

I’m in Toronto, so I can give no advice, but lots of encouragement; you are doing good works!

I’ve mentioned before that I was able to bring a feral/semi feral boy inside after managing to get him neutered, and the process was much as you are doing; I would move his food dish further and further away from the door, while leaving it open, so he could leave at any time. Eventually, I would close the door, but

Thanks; it was a number of years ago now, he’s the “one that got away”. He was loved and coddled for the last night of his life; he had a full tummy and a warm bed to sleep on, with lots of cuddles. His name was going to be Valentine.

Poor Bumper. I rescued a beautiful catling (teenager) once who charmed me so much that I decided quickly to keep him. Sadly, he died the morning after I found him, but at least he, like Bumper, was in a warm place, with affection for even a short time.

I wondered about stress in my case too, because it often eases off on the weekends and when I’m on vacation, except when I’m visiting friends out of town, and then it gets bad. I put some of it down to the physical ability to get to the bathroom immediately, or fart when needed, which you can’t always do when at work

Poor Frank, and poor you! He is very, very pretty.

That will be a relief for you and them. Congrats!

I do like the occasional beer, so this could be a problem. There are yeast free beers, but I’ve never to my knowledge tried any.

Maybe I should hope for a flare up to test out my backing soda theory! :D

I’m not 100% sure it’s yeast; I’ve had other occasions when I’ve thought that I’ve figured it out, but then it starts up again.

Here’s a guy with a really, really low-key job (my sister is a dog-walker) ... it just seems randomly unfair. We don’t know if the dogs were targeted to be held for ransom, or what, and the fact that a human being was violently “discarded” because he got in the way of something so petty as a dog-napping is very

For anyone who suffers from IBS; I’ve recently pretty much eliminated (heh; a little intestinal humour there), yeast leavened bread from my diet, and have had several weeks symptom free.

How monumentally weird! I’m glad that you seem to have no permanent effects, and are back to normal.

During the colder weather, I wear lined leather gloves, and I hope that’s enough. And use sanitizer frequently.

Awww; my previous dog, a very shiny black Lab cross had a white bow tie on his chest, and he was called Beau because he was so pretty (his previous name was Bear, but he was too lean for that name, and Beau was close enough), but people would spell it “Bow” because of his tie.
