Never beat yourself up about things like this or feel ashamed; you were working with the information that you had at the time, and you were young, with not a lot of experience or perspective under your belt. All experience is useful, particularly things that test us.

I’ve had one or two of those, but there is also something called Benign Positional Vertigo (BPV), which is caused by tiny particles in the inner ear. My nephew gets it occasionally, also my boss, and it can cause extreme vertigo. It is very treatable though. Keep it in mind if you get vertigo again.

I’m so sorry about your stroke! And yeah, NSAIDs can be blood thinners, and if you’re already on something for that, it would be a bad idea. Or at least, check with your doc about adding into your pharmacopoeia.

Yeah; if he knows it’s a rescue or a feral he’ll do things at cost, maybe only charge me for the drugs if he has to operate, like a neuter, and he’ll give me samples of things like flea med’s for free to treat a feral. And if I am trying to trap a stray/feral and bring it in for neutering, they’ll say not to bother…

I haven’t had a really bad one for years (yay, menopause!), but I used to feel pissed about the wasted time.

My feral boy, Gus, had stomatitis and eventually had to have all of his teeth removed. He’d had some removed here and there, and then finally the vet said “They’ve all got to come out if we have any hope of beating this.”

This was beautiful; he can ride a bike and crack jokes at the same time! I bet he can walk down a ramp and drink water too.
