This list is missing “Thermae Romae Novae”, a manga/anime about a Roman bathhouse architect who keeps getting transported to modern day Japan:

Cam Clarke is such a great voice actor. I’m still kinda really bummed to this day about Metal Gear Solid 4, because that seemed like such a big deal for him. Obviously so much time has passed and I can easily be mis-remembering details, but from what I recall, they decided to go with the Ocelot voice actor over him

Forget VR and SteamDeck, the next Valve hardware will be an actual portal gun

Portal in VR sounds like motion sickness hell lol

That’s why I usually don’t debate them with facts, but with an even stupider theory. Oh, you think the earth is flat? Heh, poor fool still thinks the earth actually exists.

I know the whole “Chief never takes his helmet off” thing was killed in the first episode but I kinda wish it had stayed and then during this scene, He was fully naked but still had the helmet on!!!

I looked up Tim schafFer twitter and the first result was an Ohio senator, I wonder if he ever gets any odd tweet from confused people eh eh. (timoflegend is the one I was looking for I know)

Actually, Dave Grossman was quite involved with Tales of Monkey Island while working for Telltale as lead designer. So this technically isn’t his first comeback to the franchise after 30 years, since Tales came out in 2009.

Oh man - I hope it comes on 11 CDs with a circular pirate puzzle wheel for “copy protection”.

Well Disney could use good PR and they have made overwhelmingly clear they don’t want to directly spend money to make video games. So getting money + having people between the ages of 25-50 scream in joy and throw their hands up in praise is better then just sitting on a IP they didn’t want to directly use...

Weird, I found using performance mode made everything a lot more blurry and harder to see

I was feeling the same. As though the level of fidelity is actually TOO MUCH. I had to put on my glasses (which I usually only wear when using the computer)

I am having the exact same problem! So happy to hear I’m not the only one! For me, it’s the dust dense particles and insects in the air that create a really unfocused visual experience for me, and causing some actual headaches. I’ve never had this problem with the first game.

I’ve had this problem before with games like Uncharted 4 (in particular the brief open world area) and even the original HZD. That was even on an old (though nice) Panasonic plasma at 1080 on a regular ps4. I found it helped to sit closer to the screen but I also got used to it. I thought maybe I was getting old but

I was running on performance mode but I agree with you. The game is OVERWHELMING with the amount on screen. Foliage, trees, bushes, animals, lights, grass, items, enemies. Figuring out what it is you’re looking at is half the battle for me sometimes.

Fun fact: Roll-playing is sometimes used as a pejorative term for TTRPG players who focused more on stats and game mechanics rather than playing a character, min/maxing is subset of roll-playing.  They play a TTRPG to “win”.

To me, RPGs are ultimately about the ability to play the role of your choosing. The more agency the player has and the more the game supports those choices, the more of an RPG the game becomes. If my agency is limited to combat, I don’t really consider that enough to qualify as an RPG. Ultimately, though, the agency

“Wind’s howling” - Geralt

It looks like a little like what Witcher 3 accomplished 7 years ago. It wasn’t perfect... trees sometimes looked a little too rubbery... but it’s was pretty close.
