Makes me wonder if the “woman with the robot arm” who gave Atticus the copy of “Lovecraft Country” was actually future Diana.

My impression of the Christina/Ruby relationship is that it is a weird version of intersectionality.

Best of all, she encourages Ji-Ah to embrace self-love and acceptance. “It’s okay to be different,” Young-Ja assures Ji-Ah.

That’s why I’m saying that the live action interpretation is acceptable rather than excellent. Dawson is great and all but I agree: Ashoka is softer both in voice and demeanor.

I can’t help but be amused that, instead of declaring the animated interpretation of the definitive live action characterization to be acceptable, I’m declaring that the live action interpretation of the definitive animated characterization to be acceptable.

Either “5cream” or “Scream5" (Screams). Anything other title is an incorrect choice.

Swear to God, Trumpers playing Rage Against the Machine to protest are like Nazis playing Hava Nagila to celebrate.

Luke grew up well after the Purge in the Outer Rim as a sheltered farm boy. It’s reasonable for him not to have heard of Jedi or the Force.

Just my instinct for pendantry kicking in. 😜

There were years of anti-Jedi propaganda following the Empire’s ascension. The touting of Jedi wouldn’t necessarily be there first thing to do, especially since there was only one at the time. It’s not really well known how well known Jedi were outside the Core.

Assuming that the Empire didn't purge virtually every mention of Jedi when they took over.

Not quite. 😜

Also, since Mandalorians have a history with Jedi sorcerers (the Child's people), there’s a good chance that another covert may have actionable lore to work from.

A friend of mine once suggested that the primary reason Liv Tyler's character is in "Armageddon" is to assure the audience that Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck's characters are not in fact feuding gay lovers.

I think I should like the link to said playlist.

It was also used in the trailer for Blumhouse's "Fantasy Island".

Now playing

“Body Double” is first-class schlock. A friend called it American giallo. How can you not appreciate a movie with the line “Holly Body keeps this industry where it belongs — in the gutter!”

Orithyia is the name of a mythological Amazon queen, just like Hippolyta.

My hoped endgame for Ella, since she's already got the personality down, is that she essentially becomes Death of the Endless.
