there is a way to unlock all the customs on 3ds (through 3rd party software) and then you can simply import your 3ds version to the wii u. So there is a work around and most people would not use it. I wish I could share your hope. I love Nintendo but I have gotten over waiting for them to do what most people want them to do and simply excepted they are gonna do whatever the hell they want and we just have to deal with it.

Nintendo is just trolling now. They know everybody wanted Inklings and King K Rool as new exciting characters with unique movesets and multiple costumes. But they took the easy route...lets just make amiibo armor that takes 5 minutes to make and charge 0.99 a piece.

It’s Nintendo...they always do bold and risky things and it pays off sometimes. They need to play it safe when it comes to the console (comparable hardware to current gen if not better) and go crazy with the handheld, but that’s just my opinion.

I think I’m gonna have to agree with you! With all the things nintendo has failed with the last few years, Splatoon is a great success and is fun as hell. Plus the this DLC has been absolutely free! Whats better than that?
