I had a 77 with fake wood and the updated engine, that thing was a tank and never had a moments trouble, the only thing it could out run was a Chevette tho. but it was my mom’s car and just what we needed with a new baby and she made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. this one being a 72 I’m sure it has the self destruct…
i was born in the fall of 54 when all the great 55's hit the street, i would take the mercedes sl, but the worst was probably the sad hudson hornet, a result of them merging with nash, so the 55 hornet was a nash with a goofy grille to try and make it not look like a nash,
I decided to change plugs in my Escape v6, required removing the intake according to joe blow guy on you tube, nope! a few months later the timing chain went and the vehicle was down to scrap price. oh well, those plugs are fine
my 79 Fairmont was the most perfect family car I’ve ever owned, I needed a car and it was the cheapest new mid size car I could buy at the time, didn’t even have power steering. most reliable too. I still had it when I was divorced and met my next wife to be. after our first date she was being grilled by her family…
I had a 77 woody back in late 70's, not much power but it had the newer engine that never gave me any trouble. there was a tuner secret to slot the cam pulley and it made a whale of difference. I sold it to my cousin and she drove it a long time and traded it in still running great. it was a solid feeling car that…
I claim victory, my first car was my late grandfather’s ‘61 Chevy wagon. absolutely not one option, not even a radio, with a piece of white contact paper over a rusted out place on the tailgate. 6 cyl 3 on the tree. this was in 1970. It mercifully gave up the ghost one night about 4 miles from home. I pulled my Honda…
universal batteries that can be swapped out, like filling a tank, maybe in my children’s lifetime, that is when we can start thinking about phasing out gas
time to resume living, we go to work and to school and to the box store and restaurants, etc. already, we have to do what we do or none of us will have a job and the economy will collapse, it’s collapsing too much already. it is up to the choice of the individual to stay home and ones who don’t want to will take their…
cheapest one I found so far is $400
My only problem is what do I sell to get one, my prayers have been answered
in my brief look so far I haven’t seen what time of day or night this took place, if it’s in day light he’s toast, if not, he’s still kind of toast but not as dark?
don’t be too hard on Gene, he is sooo happy RG is alive and well after his crash, he thinks he should have retired and taken that as a sign not to go back out and cheat death again
keep your mouth shut and they can’t find out, unless they have a secret spy circuit in there somewhere?
we went more than 24 hours without power, now that it’s back we have no water pressure cause the lifting pumps that keep the tower full had no juice and we drained it. while that was going on the pipes that feed the tower froze and they are having hell getting that solved. we are almost to the point of buying jugs of…
hilarious that a Fairmont was mentioned. I met my wife in Dec of ‘81 and had a ‘79 Fairmont cause divorce. after our first date her friend was asking her how it went and what kind of car did he have. she told her,” I think it’s kinda old but it’s in really good shape”. the boxy styling made her think that but…
this is so dumb it should never have got past day one as a viable concept, qualifying would end up being a race to see how slow you can go
stupid arguments in 2021, if there is one thing left that doesn’t need to be talked about it’s the ability to time shift. just tell me when and I can handle the rest, it’s real life we can’t handle apparently.
oooo! this is delicious! now that the dems are in control they only have each other to concentrate on! get the popcorn ready!
electric cars will never take off until the powers that be realize battery replacement is the main problem. when they come up with a solution that involves some kind of swapping out for a nominal fee that can amortized into the overall ownership annual cost, I predict this will be the next big thing.
