Not enough about Spyro.

“I think I’ll save suicide for another year.”

“I’ve crippled your heart a hundred times and still can’t work out why.

The most feels I’ve ever gotten from an actual hit song was from “Somebody That I Used to Know”: “You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness.” It’s incredibly simple, but as someone who’s battled depression as well as a couple rounds of unrequited “love” in my younger days, it hits close to home.

Maybe with Final Fantasy XVI they can just make a game, sell the game, and then we have the entire game. That’d be nice.

“confirming that the speicla will premiere on October 6"

The best JRPGs switch things up and mask their structure in interesting ways, subverting your expectations so they don’t feel samey. A game like Chrono Trigger is essentially “town -> dungeon -> town -> dungeon” but throws so many different gimmicks and interesting narrative twists at you, from a festival to a trial

Other JRPGs don’t indicate progression through the game in such a way that you know “this is town 5 of 32, this is dungeon 5 of 32, this is boss 5 of 32, do another town/dungeon/boss and you’ll be 6/32 through the game, and every 1/32 portion of the game is exactly like this”. They vary dungeon lengths and structures,

I mean, it’s totally fine that they chose to make a game that’s more about eight individual stories, they just didn’t execute on that premise very well. All JRPGs ask you to suspend your disbelief in some way or another, but as I wrote in my review, Octopath Traveler takes that to an extreme. It’s impossible to buy

Not really. It’s cool, don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t mitigate the game’s narrative and structural problems. I liked Octopath Traveler, but I would’ve liked it so much more if every chapter of every story wasn’t structured the same exact way. There’s only so many times I can repeat the same “go to a new town,

Now we just need a Mario 64 remaster that lets us know what that star statue was supposed to say.

As always, I’m happy to see people experience something new (especially when it’s something they’re giving a second chance).

I’m not a fan of “hop-forward” beers, but to each their own. My issue is that the popularity of IPAs has craft brewers messing with other formulas. I’ve had several experiences now where I’ve ordered something non-IPA and found it to be heavily hopped. I specifically ordered the one craft brew on the list that wasn’t

This nonsense about patching games after release is why I still haven’t touched Final Fantasy XV. I WANT to, but it’s a single player game that has seasonal and timed events, and full chapters of exposition that should have come out at launch. Playing Final Fantasy XV for the first time would be an entirely different
