Yes! I love IX (my pfp, when it works, is it's version of Ramuh) bit it's a game built expressly on series nostalgia. It's fun regardless, but it won't feel as special to someone who doesn't know what the references are

Odd editorial decision to refer to the acknowledged inspiration for a game as ‘the original Stardew-like.’ Does that really pump SEO that much?

Put some respect on Sky High! It was a theatrical release, not a DCOM

Serious question—is it really fair to say 2022 is “proof that Xbox’s Netflix-like service can continue to thrive even when Microsoft isn’t able to feed Game Pass itself” when Microsoft is reportedly paying hundreds of millions to get 3rd party games into the program? Content for Game Pass is content, but is that model

Of course there’s never really any knowing with Square Enix, but is it unreasonable to assume they’re going more or less silent on FFVIIR intentionally so as not to mute hype for FFXVI? There’s probably a lot of overlap in likely player base, especially with XVI going full action

Noticed there was an almost throw away line near the end that implies the main characters interact in their stories this time. Hope that’s true!

It’s kind of cool that it’s developed a different utility in the card game than the video game!

This is a way more thorough and helpful answer than I hoped for, thanks! I never noticed that the ‘mons who look like real animals were mostly normal type, but that feels like a fun nod to real life.

Can someone explain to me why normal types are still a thing generally, but also why new Pokemon get double typed with normal? It kind of made sense to me mechanically in Red and Blue, but if everything is a type now, what’s the purpose of normal?

So is the catalog of updates to The Bests dead with the shift to slides? I found that to be as useful as the list itself, and without that historical context, I don’t find much more value to this compared to a Metacritic best of the console page.

Does the move to the slideshow format mean we lose the history of the list? That was just as valuable as the current iteration of the list and really impacts the utility of this feature

I’m partial to Jackson and Adam’s podcasts, particularly Plumbing the Death Star and Jackson Baly Spooks America. Really, almost anything on Sanspants Radio

Best advice I can give (and what got my my PS5), is to follow a couple of deal trackers on twitter (I like Wario64 and Matt Swider), watch Jake Randall’s YouTube videos so that you know how to actually get it from each store since there’s no consistency, and don’t get discouraged if it takes a while

The door was weird and a little distracting, but I want to know if they fixed the weird skyboxes that made certain scenes (climbing to the top plate, Sector 7) look like they forgot to finish the environment

The blue figure is clearly modeled on Tan France from Queer Eye and no one will be able to convince me otherwise

But we know these heroes are celebrities in this world. I completely believe that Steve Rogers is calling a press conference and giving a blow-by-blow as soon as he was confident he knew what happened

Yeah, I recognized it as the art style from OT, but I thought it was a little odd that they slapped a series title on it without clearly saying what else is in the series

Is it really that odd that people in the Marvel universe (especially those who are friendly with Avengers) know what happened leading up to the snap? I mean, Captain America was going to support groups, do we really think they wouldn’t publicly announce what happened?

Uh, what is the 2D-HD series that the trainer says this is latest entry of? Am I missing something?

I always wondered why X-2 doesn’t get more love from the III/V job class-system fans. To me, it seems like another evolution of that system, but I haven’t played it since release so maybe it’s not as solid as I remember!
