Oh yeah they are wonderful at Le Mans but unfortunately I cannot race WFO to and from work everyday.
Supposedly, they work quite well in applications where they’re not having to deal with varying engine speeds and loads.
I wonder if they figured out how to make one last longer than a timing belt.
I wonder if the crowd yanked them out of the car, which you should not do unless it’s on fire. Everybody wants to be a hero, but if possible, leave injured people where they are until the emergency folks arrive. Internal injuries can get a lot worse with more movement (a tip I got from an EMT).
Boeing issued a press release; "Not Us!"
Remember when that family was killed in the Toyota near San Diego after careening down the highway a high speed unable to stop and Toyota got the initial blame when it turned out to be an incorrectly installed floor mat and the driver didn’t think to throw the thing in neutral and Cole Trickle the engine?
As someone who owned a Tesla for 3 years, this looks very much like a pedal accident. FSD will normally disengage on a brake press or steering wheel turn, and the automatic braking will kick in if you’re about to hit something. But if you’ve got the accelerator jammed to the floor because you think it’s the brake…
“Still love the car tho!”
Blame first, sort it out later gets more clicks.
Sadly, as long as one outlet is willing to run a story before the facts can be sorted out, it will always be a race to get *something* out fast, regardless of veracity...
Remember, NHTSA says pedal confusion accidents happen 44 times per day in the US. But we should first blame the Tesla, then read the car’s logs, then we can blame the victim driver for mashing the go pedal instead of the stop pedal. :)
PERMANENT DST.
Standard time can get bent. I want my sun in the afternoon evening, and extra hour of light in the morning during the winter serves no purpose.
Seconded. The subheading on this article is perfect.
I’ll go on record and say this is the first and likely only time I’ll agree with Elon on something. DST is outdated and could easily be dropped.
If it’s global warming, that’s not possible because humans can’t impact the weather.
Entering a Japanese car assembled in the US hardly merits notice, hence the reason nobody did.
“Can’t park it, fit it on the streets, charge it, get it worked on, or get the software to work, had to give it baby bumpers, and people are constantly pointing and laughing at me.
...
Still love the truck.”
I was getting called old in the morning shift comments so I guess so.
This is what came to my mind. Are we... old?
