EV degradation curve is steep for the first year or two but then flattens out. In 2016 my model S could do 270 miles on a charge. I purchased it when it was 3.5 years old and had 50k miles on it; then it would charge to 250 miles. A degradation of 7.4%. Today my car has 135k miles on it. It charges to 242 miles, so

What if it had a “turbo” button like some computers did in the 90s?

Me waiting for them shits to drop another $50k in the next two years

Just a smudge over, but I’m sure you may have some wiggle room.

also now we are blaming Boeing for maggots and an engine fire? way to go Jalopnik!

The 757-200 has not been manufactured since 2004, so this is exceptionally unlikely to be any fault of Boeing’s. Heck, the entire 757 line is obsolete. (But remains popular in aftermarket sales anyway, because they’re rather peppy. This makes them inefficient, but they’re great for hot, dry climates and for the

nice click bait headline, the wing didn’t disintegrate, a part of the slat did. they were never in any serious danger.

Ok, so the Mini was a terrible suggestion, let’s be honest. While they can be fun (not much more than the GTI), they are definitely not ‘reliable.’ $30K is good money for either a decently MK7 / 7/5 GTI or Golf R, which are both fun to drive and excellent daily drivers, not to mention their tuning potential. And the

IS-350 is the correct answer. I had one for 70k miles and literally no service visits other than maintenance (and tires). The car felt brand new at 70k and they’re quite peppy as well.

Isn’t a bit misleading to say that this Land Cruiser is cheaper than the outgoing one when they are different vehicles? The US 2024 Land Cruiser is a Prado similar to a Lexus GX, not the larger flagship SUV that was similar to the Lexus LX.

Really looking forward to seeing how they answer the 4Runner question. It’s going to be basically the same car, but they wont be able to charge the same kind of money. I still can’t figure out why Toyota wants to slice this pie so razor thin.

Mileage isn’t a deal breaker as these regularly go over 200k but I’d have questions. ‘98 is the preferred year for the P80 platform as it’s mechanically an 850 with an updated body. You also dont have to worry about the ETM failing on the ’98 as opposed to ‘99+. I have a ‘98 S70 and this exact same car, just AWD.

My Volvo knowledge is a little rusty but I think that’s a 1998, not 99.

Texas, I understand. What they hell is going on up in the land of the driest white toast though?

Hands down for me is the 1995 McLaren F1 LM in the game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. Gorgeous car and was amazing to play with back when driving simulators weren’t much of a thing my older brother and I would set up a wheel on the coffee table and just put pedals on the carpet. I might need to bring out the old
