I love it when hubris meets FAFO.
I found the location on Google Maps, right next to the Discount Tire. The driver hit it in the side of the building, off of a long, straight service road next to I-69 (nice!). Given how far he went into the restaurant, he might have come off the highway at highway speed, rather than off the comparatively slower…
That RV is fucked. Shitty aluminum frame, stapled together interior panels, press-fit water lines... The modern RV industry builds shit that barely lasts 10 years when the units are treated well. This just bent or broke a bunch of stuff.
As someone who has rented their RV in the past, I would not be fine with this. Esepcially since the step is down, and there’s a good chance there is unseen damage. These things built like shit, and the unseen damage to the seams and structure are what will fuck you. I actually specifically blocked out burning man week…
“How did you know you were a dinosaur?”
“Someone showed me what is now referred to as an ‘SUV’”
Let me wander off into that good night. My old age will burn and rage with the dying of the light.
My thoughts exactly. Equating the risk of flying in a stunt plane with that of commercial aviation would be like equating a drive to the office with stock car racing.
Please make the distinction that when we say ‘flying is safe and driving to the airport is more dangerous’ we are talking about Commercial flying. This is anything but that.
Duh.
Considering what is on the road today, the Aztec’s greatest sin was being two decades ahead of its time.
Pontiac Aztec, now hear me out.
I realize how not-aerodynamic it is, but the Honda Element would be a nice addition to the EV landscape. A small, yet extremely practical hauler that’s ready for adventure would be a hot seller, I think. As long as it’s not outrageously priced... which it probably would be.
I’m assuming there has been some sort of coup.
I imagine this is what is in Mitch McConnell’s head. No words and broken stuff.
Old car? This is how thermostats work on cars being built today, and will be built for year and years into the future.
Are...are you ok? Do you need help
But sports car means it can handle well on twisty roads at least.... ;)
Yes, I was thinking ‘Iron Duke’ when I wrote it.
Yes to Fiero, no to the ‘88 you used a picture of (by that time, they sorted out the suspension, and it could be had with the 2.8 which was quick enough for the 80's).
