I know very little about these but can someone explain to me why this is better than a slide-in camper on a regular Tacoma aside from the looks & nostalgia?
The Early Rodders are out of there before the first movie starts, and the only businesses in that parking lot area which are (were? idk I haven’t been there in 5-6 yrs) open at that time cater to the breakfast crowd anyway so its kind of a win-win from that perspective.
Early Rodders out in Montrose use a movie theater parking lot for their gatherings & are out of there before the first matinee of the day. Surely there are other spots to host something like this?
The dealer I went to had 1 EV person amongst a sea of traditional sales personnel. This 1 EV person was occupied or on PTO when I went in, so I figured I’d try to ask a non-EV sales person about the Mach-E. His response was typical, “these are backordered for the next 2 years... you may as well just buy an F150 or…
Ref: road legality, I’d suggest at least reaching out to the folks at dirtlegal.com to see if its an “option”.
Alone on the track I think it’d be a blast but... with all of that traffic I’d probably be a mess.
No Polski Fiat 126? No Trabant? For shame.
Sick playlist btw.
Unless my wipers were set to “crazy”, all of the “ADAS” features on my Mazda6 would error out (loudly) if the slightest amount of morning dew coated the windshield in front of the sensors.
This is our bold ‘present day’ in corporate IT.
Ah I didn’t know about the 3rd brake light thing. It makes sense. I’m in Arkansas and its always cab corners & rockers, and frequently floors on these. Occasionally the rear wheel arches at the very top will rust from the outside in as well.
Thats super weird because I live in the south where it rarely snows, and the only GMT400s I see on the roads are absolute rust bucket flintstone-mobiles with rocker panel deletes and “none” cab corners. Wonder if they only rust proofed the ones in the rust belt?
F Sport badges on a Lexus UX. You know its bad when you’re on the Lexus marketing page and the first spec they mention under the “Performance” tab is the 17.1 foot turning radius.

Make no mistake, this thing is hideous to look at from the front. But. BUT! from the side profile, I’m kinda glad proportions are shifting in a more “wagon-esque” direction for many SUV/CUV type things.
I’ve been bitching about a different aspect of their dealer model over on TheDrive. Specifically, the colossal disconnect between the entire sales dept and corporate as it pertains to EV’s. Specifically pre-delivery (ordering)/ post-sale support.
If its good enough for a tractor / farm equipment, it should be fine in the 4.0 AMC/Jeep I6 which was for years described (in many cases, even derided) as “agricultural” by the automotive press.
People are financing $60k SUVs for 84+ months.
