Same. Though most of the Trump 2020 flags were replaced w/Confederate flags (or “thin blue line” flags) locally (Arkansas), there a few dozen still flying that I see whenever I go out.

I saw one of these, in real life, in Arkansas before the 2012 election. I took a picture but that was 3 or 4 phones ago.

Question: how long in your estimation before the city comes back at you with another “clear the property of derelict vehicles” order?

Don’t quote me on this but I think the XJ 5 spoke steelies had an indentation mid-spoke but the ZJ 5 spoke steelie had a smooth spoke.

Unpopular opinion: Graveyard Cars. It scratches my fastidious attention to detail itch, despite my not really caring about old Mopars. But most importantly, despite the crappy cartoon interludes and distracting other junk they throw in there for TV, my wife likes it too.

I drive like a grandma, speed limit or slightly under and just plop myself in the travel lane. Not much traffic here, and very flat, so my 25mi commute took 25 minutes, give/take once you factor in the stoplights. I think that helps my mpg average considerably.

For the 2-3 months I commuted in it before the pandemic shut everything down, my 80% highway (w/75 mph speed limit) commute of 25 miles saw a 32-34 mpg between fill ups.
On this same commute, our 2015 Mazda CX-5 2.0 sport (FWD, 6 spd m/t) saw 34-36 mpg between fill ups.
On power, it isn’t what I’d call fast. Its

Similar boat.
In late 2019 I bought a 2017.5 Mazda6 Touring 6 spd m/t for $14k w/22k mi on it, to be used exclusively as a fuel efficient highway commuter w/space for 2 kids & gear.
Because of the pandemic & my wife & I working from home exclusively, the mileage is about the same as it was when I bought it.

S30 (Datsun Z) Safari! Thats an awesome thing I never knew existed (the comic, not the car). Thanks for sharing!

Oh you mean the guy who tried to have my car towed from the Acti-Blizzard Santa Monica campus (where I worked) because I parked my “derelict” “homeless lookingcar in an open, non-reserved spot next to his McLaren & he wasn’t able to open his ‘billionaire doors’ without having to get uncomfortably close to my dirty

I too, am partial to the S30.

Great point. I think all 82-86(87?) Camaros had slot noses EXCEPT for the IROC & Z28. The car in the image is most likely an 82-84 Sport Coupe (SC), not a Z28 - note there are no hood louvers on the shirt car either.
Perhaps ironically, this shirt was signed off on by GM & is sold through Old Navy in the US. So

For an entire school year, one of the kids on the bus brought a boom box and a Vanilla Ice cassette tape and played “Ice Ice Baby” on repeat for the entire ride to and from school.

Perfect timing. Today is Camaro shirt day at the ‘office’.

Oh yeah, 100% this. My neighbor had one when I was a kid. My family had a Nissan Sentra wagon and a Datsun pickup, neither of which were speed demons... but I vividly recall getting my first ride my neighbor’s 3rd gen Z28 and it was the closest thing I’d felt to being shot out of a cannon in my life up until that

Why not just use the existing chassis codes for these things? Tons of the other automakers use nonsensical alphanumeric names for their cars.

I mean, if they’re really going for accuracy, since its set in Arkansas, they should be Arkansas plates from the 80's but I’ll give them a pass, considering this is set in Arkansas but pretty close to the OK border.

I know its asking a lot, but if this is set in the 80's, those are the wrong Oklahoma license plates on that red GMC.
