2016 4Runner Trail.

In the CX-5 we had our Recaro pro-ride and the Chicco Keyfit 30 before that in the middle-rear position because the top portion of both interfered with normal, adult-sized humans fitting comfortably in the front seat.

Ah. I have a 34" inseam. Makes sense. I still miss our CX-5. I mean, had to thrash that little 2.0l to do common tasks like merging (etc) but that was half the fun - winding it out to redline, driving a slow car “fast” etc.

APC = Armored Personnel Carrier, not Character.
Pentagon Wars is what I show to anyone who asks me why I hated my time working on Battalion & higher staff and in acquisitions in the Army.

We bought a CX-5 as well, and soon realized none of our rear facing child seats could fit with an actual, adult-sized human being in either of the front seats without said human getting very friendly w/the dash. I’m only 6'1" and with a rear-facing seat behind me as the driver my knees were touching the dash.

I completely feel your pain.

Sigh. This. I remember moving to New England from the midwest and thinking “oh man, 6" of snow? there’s NO WAY schools are open tomorrow” then spending all night playing Nintendo in my room. 5am rolls around, flip on the news just to make sure... and to my shock, no cancellations or delays, “storm center” wasn’t even

Gin. This is the correct choice.

I don’t doubt that they’re excellent cars... but I haven’t seen any locally in a very long time.

Screw you, I’m not ol... oh.

GS buyers exist?

Oh yeah $4k is CP all day for this Si, I was just saying for those looking at an Si, the others won’t be appealing because they’re looking at an Si because it’s an Si, not because they want a good fun car for $4k.

... but much less fun. The Si was never about outright speed or capability, it was about making the most out of the experience. As another commenter mentioned, these things were a blast at legal speeds. You didn’t have to break the law or go to a track to enjoy it.

If you want something with resale value at the end of the trip, 3rd Gen 4Runner.

I spent a year or so in Jackson circa 2005 and it was pretty much this. However if the local constabulary is looking for an excuse, they’ll find one. Example: I was passenger in a vehicle pulled over by a Ridgeland cop coming back to Jackson from the reservoir one night. The reason? no driver’s door mirror.

I’ve noticed that too. My biggest pet peeve about modern car interiors is that “piano black” shiny plastic crap that automakers inexplicably think makes their interiors look ‘premium.’

If you can believe it, the interior on the ATS felt better screwed-together than the CTS we drove so... yeah there’s some room to grow here for Cadillac. We also test drove an Accord and a Mazda 6, both of which felt better designed & assembled inside than the pair of Cadillacs we sampled. Still though, hard to escape

I cross shopped Cadillac last time I was in the market (2016) and was disappointed at the interior quality of design, assembly, refinement and materials when compared to it’s German and Japanese competition. Unfinished edges, door rattles, hard plastic, sharp edges, cheap foam-backed rubber-esque dash pads, excessive

I drove a 2015 Ram 4x4 4dr (whatever cab it’s called) at highway speeds about 2k miles round trip to the east coast and back and mathematically between fill ups I saw north of 25 MPG. In the summer, w/the A/C running, cruise control at 75mph.
