If this is the state of popular music in 2017, I’m glad I haven’t listened to it in a while.

Thats the most... shocking... part of this whole video, to me.

When seconds matter, Blade Runners are always minutes away.

Or RX-8. There are tons of them with blown engines for under $2k. Buy a JDM keg for $1000 - 2000 shipped and swap the USDM parts over to it, change the clutch/flywheel while you’re at it, connect it to the 6spd manual of the car you bought (DO NOT BUY AN AUTOMATIC), profit. You could also do the right thing - pull the

Datsun S30 (240z, 260z, 280z) from ‘70-’78. I bought my ‘72 240z for $4k in 2015. CA car with a new red paint job. Very easy to work on, and they’re currently appreciating.

That the human body is capable of sustaining itself almost entirely off of ramen and regret.

I wouldn’t count it out. A set of junkyard doors are maybe $200, a $100 windshield and a bath. So all in maybe $350 and you’re back in the game, baby.

Admittedly, this Volvo sedan is the only sedan I’ve ever owned, and my anecdote is just that. But it seems as though someone with a brain was doing some serious thinking when they made it the way they did to keep crap from accumulating on the rear window.

As the owner of a Volvo wagon and a Volvo sedan, driving over the same roads in the same conditions, my wagon needs the wiper, and my sedan doesn’t. I’ve never run into a situation where I’ve not been able to see out of my rear glass in the sedan, even in a blizzard, due to dirt/dust/debris/water droplet presence.

When I was in dire financial straits a (long) while back and needed a car, I bought a $2900 vehicle because that was the best thing I could afford. I did put some money into repairs, but nowhere near $600/month. Probably $600/year.

Ugh tell me about it. I looked for a year for a ‘01-’04 double-cab, 4x4, V6, M/T Tacoma after my 3rd gen 4Runner was totaled out. After failing to find a rust-free example under $15k I just went back to a 3rd gen 4Runner.

Don’t let the numbers dissuade you from one of these. 100hp might not sound like a lot but these are way more fun than they should be. These genuinely remind me of a higher-strung, hard-top NA Miata, albeit slightly heavier.

*vantastic.

Pfft, air-wing range only matters if you have to return to the carrier. Worked great for the Doolittle raiders, right? Right? Anybody?

Once the car-buying public figures that out, I’m sure they will. But until then, people see three of the same book in three different covers, they assume its three different books.

Former Californian, current Arkansan, can confirm both. I prefer driving in CA to driving in AR and everyone looks at me like I’m insane when I tell them that.

Can’t edit above, but initially the title of this story was “I crashed my race car...”

Doesn’t look like you were driving.

No link, but I googled it & saw a bunch of threads over at clubcrosstrek.com I was just thinking crosstrek suspension in a WRX would be easier than a drivetrain swap.
