I’m in Kansas City (okay, technically Overland Park) a few times/yr. Compared to the rest of the region, people in your neck of the woods actually know what they’re doing behind the wheel.

FWIW this happened on I15 south in Escondido. There’s an onramp from the westbound 78 just under the flyover at the beginning of the video. I’ve had to merge here a few times when I lived there. The far left lane is always plugged up here, it’s just a given.

Dude, you’re fighting the good fight here, I 100% agree that Sequoia driver was just merging and did nothing wrong... but this place is filled with small minded flyover-country dwellers who have never driven in an actual city before. None of them realize the following:

Dude, came to post this. I’ve always loved the (look of the) 3rd gen but that 2nd gen is growing on me.

As a pleated khaki aficionado, I can say with confidence that there are no pleats on those khakis.

Even if all 90,000 were still on the road... there are 253 million cars on US roads. 90k is a pretty small percentage of 253 mil. To me, thats rare.

Was that thing just straight unrestorable trash before they jumped it and decided to give it one last chance at glory? Or was it in decent shape and they just ruined it?

And yet, not a single effing picture in your article or in the link of this actually taking place. Thankfully, the comments have this oversight covered.

Interior space is garbage (vs. the X5). For $5k more than a comparable X5, you’re ending up with the curb weight, footprint and aerodynamic cross section of an X5 but with less interior passenger volume.

The Camaro/Firebird never really sounded all that good in V6 trim... but that Pentastar with the Magnaflows on it... that is a good noise.

That was BRUTAL. And glorious.

Much faster and more powerful than the previous gen Raptor, but gah that sound kills it for me. I’ll take the power/styling/capability hit and go with the old Raptor any day for no other reason than I like the sound more.

Too bad the sound didn’t.

Ford: If you want to know what a good 6 cyl exhaust note sounds like, talk to Porsche and BMW. This noise has no business coming from a truck like the Raptor.

Kind of ashamed to admit it, but post-exhaust-install, I think that sounds great!

Uh... I have 2 COTDs, both far worse than this.

Beats the hell out of my [non existent] F1 career.

The linked article shows exactly what you say with your last sentence. Still can be an issue if you are rear ended, but not as bad as the picture shown in this article.

James May would beg to differ:

CP, sadly. This is mechanically and [nearly] visually identical to the Q45, and 2-3x the price of a running/driving Q45, with the added inconvenience of RHD and without the benefit of a manual transmission.
