i played this game in the fall after hearing everyone complaining about it and yeah, its a depressing story about revenge and hate and all the worst parts of humanity, but it’s also great at showing you these aspects and triggering that emotional response that by the end of the game, you don’t want to see abby or

i’m an avid gamer who prefers playing games to watching TV, i’m even a veteran who served during this war and had friends that fought and died in this country. I love military games, shooters, etc. I would so much rather watch a documentary than play even a second of this. I appreciate what they’re trying to do, but

the first one looks like a CT scan slice, probably there as an easter egg or as a guide for building the model.

kinda glad they’re trying something different, diablo 3, path of exile, and torchlight on console kinda ate the old dark alliance/champions games lunch. there’s not really much room for this game to come in and compete by doing the exact same thing it used to do even if my friends would co-op those games all the time

go read up on direct ml, It’s something microsoft is looking into that looks to be similar to nvidia’s DLSS, The difference is that microsoft may someday be able to implement that at the system level the same way they are doing FPS boost stuff so although it wouldn’t theoretically change the actual render res, the

small update to this story, the song can now be heard on the in-game radio station “party royale” when driving cars around which is kinda awesome/hilarious.

i made dinner and ate with my family, watched the news, did a couple of sudoku puzzles while i snuggled my dog, and took my daughter to basketball practice where i got to play in her parents vs kids scrim while it was down. Maybe Xbox live should go down more often...

dlss is cool but the fact that it’s proprietary to nvidia leaves me less than excited since consoles are based on AMD GPU’s, on the other hand, direct ml that microsoft is working on is a lot more exciting as it’s api based and could really shift things especially if applied to backward compatible console games.

ori soundtracks are sooooo good.  i found myself pulling them up on spotify even after i had 100%’d the game multiple times

chun-li character proportions are gonna be weird for fortnite because they’ll have to mix the typical fortnite male legs with the typical fortnite female upper body just to get the dimensions right.

i’ve read that they’re looking into another feature similar to nvidia’s DLSS that would be a directx level feature that they would likely be able to implement at the system level for series x and series s that could handle that without the need for developer patches similar to the FPS boost here.

from my loose understanding of this, they’re manipulating the framerate of the game by sort of hijacking the Direct3D api at the system level and forcing it to run at the higher framerate. If they’re able to do that, perhaps they can do the same for render resolution too. Either way, it’s a very cool feature that’s

i would rather just be able to pair my existing bluetooth headphones to my console and allow the xbox to just use the builtin apps to handle my surround for me which is basically what these are doing just with the caveat that it’s allowing this particular wireless headset because it’s a first party device. There’s

this, game of thrones did this with a few characters and it took 3 seconds to understand that the mountain and dario were recast between seasons.

isn’t it kinda bullshit that when a little guy loses his shirt in the stock market and hedge funds rake in the money, nobody bats an eye but if you reverse that situation everyone goes bananas?

i bounced off of the mass effect series pretty hard when it first came out (i think i was still too into short burst games like CoD at the time) but now that i’m older and more patient and more willing to read codex and pursue narratives that aren’t on the critical path i’m gonna give it another shot with this.  I

my suggestion for IO’s bond

The irony of a man being fed up with the very audience that made him famous in the first place is so thick.

I know zombie games are cliche at this point but the open world setting of the division combined with their loot system and gameplay where you’re dumping buckets of ammo into targets lend themselves incredibly well to a zombie game. Missed opportunity to do something really cool. Tom Clancy name has become an burden

i’ve done something similar with my stationary bike and rocket league.  the bike isn’t actually doing anything for the game, it’s just the thing i’m pedaling my ass off one while i play.  it’s makes 20-30 minutes of cardio go by pretty quickly.
