my wife does the same but she doesn’t keep it there when she sits.  I had a ds lite that i used to carry around at times and one day i was getting into my car with it in my back pocket and it broke the screen.  then i learned not to keep electronics under my butt when i sit.  

is it weird that my first instinct when i look at a phone isn’t “i wonder if i can bend this and break it?” I mean, as long as it’s not happening in your front hip pocket where most people would carry their phone and expect it to be safe, why do so many people do this?
