I was excited for this game until I read this. It sounds like the game has an identity crisis.  I played probably a lot more Wildlands than the game deserved because once I got my loadout dialed in and I was comfortable calculating bullet drop, it felt amazing and I actually wanted to play on the super hard difficulty…
